Go, CurlyGirl!  If I may suggest, write out everything you need to get done.  See if anything can be delegated and then divide the tasks into days, and then estimate how much time it will take to accomplish each task.  Be generous w/your estimation 'cause we rarely realize how long it takes to do something.
Don't forget to put time in for yourself, for a nap, a bath, tea, etc.
I know you can do it!!!!

Dear Journal,

Today was a stressful day. I tried to potty train Ryan all day. i think it even stressed out my hair. i will try again in a few more months Undecided.  I wrote down on my calender trim to thicken dates for  feb. 4 + 5  but i missed those dates. note to self......check personal planner daily! Hopefully i will relax with a nice movie later.  I already took a sweet soothing bath.  I took a bath with a few drops of  Grape seed oil. Hope its good for my hair. Roll Eyes

Dear Journal, Kiss

Thankgod it was a blessed day.  Yesterday i bought DH a box of chocolates and a sweet card. I also picked up a box of chocolates for myself Roll Eyes. DH got me chocolates so that means MORE CHOCOLATES!!!! Then i went to Jimmys school, he had a Valentines Day Dance! Kiss Then both of the kiddies had doctors appts. Only for the Dr to tell me that they are recovering. ??? I kinda figured that out. They had been sick for over a weeks, coughing, runny nose, and fever and suddenly the day they give me the appt. they feel better.!?!It has been horrid. I didnt feel all that gravy. But i felt better after taking 2 tynenols! Dinner was at our fave Italian restaurant. Absolutely Delicious!!! Ryan was being good (thankgod for that). I used the candles from Maggie and they have a wonderful scent! The happiness pin is just what i needed!

Juri, Thanks I feel much better. That flu remedy does work!!! Jimmy had an ear infection last night. Sad  Thankgod hes better now.  Some friend told me of this home remedy of ear infections. I used to have ear infections horriblely until a few years ago when i heard about this remedy.

Ear infection home remedy- Bake one onion in the mini toaster oven or regular over for about 30 minutes at about 400 degrees. then let onion cool. peel and squeeze onion juice on a teaspoon than let the juice drop in ear. It WORKSS
!!!!!

Hair feels a bit longer. Has been in the same bun every morning after my shower. I like it because its not in the way and it looks elegant.

Finally, I feel at peace. The kids ate dinner and are in there pajamas, housework is done and i feel like im staying in a hotel!!! No clutter and everything is clean. I have been rewarding the kiddies with stickers for good behavior and i told them when the page fills up they will get a toy. That has helped sooooo much in better behavior and attitudes. I appreciate all the tips i got on parenting advice. I had a doctors appt. today. I am 22 weeks preggers.  They told me i had Group B strep. I had that with Ryan. So hopefully all goes well.

I'm glad you feel better Curlygirl Smiley

Hmmm..that's a new remedy, might try it next time someone gets an ear infection.

Her's another one:- in a little frying pan heat 3 tbls of Olive Oil, then add a garlic clove (not too small, not too big), stir on medium heat for about three minutes. Wait until the oil is warm, then dip a piece of cotton in the oil place in ear- just on the edge for about 10-15 minutes.

Aww congratulations, Curly Girl!  Smiley  Maybe you can have a girl this time?

There is definitely a rewarding feeling that comes with cleanliness. After all of your exhausting work, you get to just sit back and admire all the free space, and the lack of clutter and bacteria.  Tongue

The star stickers were a good idea, but be warned: your kids will only hold up their end of the bargain if you do the same. If you forget or procrastinate on their reward, they will lose motivation and resume their old habits. This comes from personal experience.
When my sister & I were kids, my mother made both of us lists of all of the things she wanted us to do in a day. She even attached a crayon to the lists with a string so we could check off each item when we finished it. If we were able to check every item on the list off for a week straight, she paid us.  Grin

Dicipline is important. It's good to get into the habit of doing something -like cleaning or practicing an instrument- until it just becomes a part of your life & your daily routine. Ask your kids if they notice the difference in your house when it's clean...mention that if they put their things away when they're finished with them, the house can stay nice like it is now all the time.  Smiley

Hi Curlygirl,

Thank you for the RED STUFF!!!
I just got them today. Apparently a family member was home, and the door got answered. The hair doodles are so marveloussss, I especially like the red headband because it will make an amazing braid-ender.

I'll post photos in my journal this weekend. I'm sorry this swap has been such a nailbiter for us.

Oodles of hugs
Anais

Wow, this is an awesome idea. I tried giving my 4.5 yo daughter quarters when she completed some extra jobs around the house, but then every time I asked her for some help or asked her to do one of her regular chores, she would ask "Will I get some money??".  I'd like to teach her about saving, but I also want her to participate in taking care of the house without an expectation of money. I abandoned the savings plan but hadn't found some way of encouraging the helping...until now! She's going to really love this sticker idea.

I agree with everyone else, that is a great idea- i tried that with my bro when he was potty training (it worked for a while). The other day i was watching a children psychologist said that you should never use money, especially for things like cleaning their room, putting toys away after they're done playing...

Sadly my parents didn't know about that, now everything is just "whoever cleans their room gets $5" "if you finish your homework by the time dad is home you get $5" and it's not like we have money to spare, it's just that they say it subconsciously Lips Sealed, except that my brothers got bored with the money and stopped caring for it Tongue
