I miss my old journal. I guess i  will stick with this since it has my pic up.   My 3 neices God bless them have hair almost up to their rear.  I love there hair it is long black and wavy. My sis takes real good care of there hair. I figure i better set a good example for my daughter so she will know what to do with her hair. I put all kinds of bows and clips in her hair already.  They are so cute.  Im excited about trying to grow my hair again. what a wonderful hobby!  I remember seeing that ad in a magazine  thicker fuller longer hair in just 5 to 7 days.I never tried it but it sounds way too good to be true.

Dear journal,

Well, i just combed my dry hair again put more oil on it and put it back in a bun. I comb my daughters hair and put baby oil on it.   Yeah BB gave me a password and im going to be keeping this journal up.   I also put a couple sprays of that vitamin human growth hormone( i forgot what its called) under my tongue. My hair got kinda long and my neice said wow your hair got long. then i cut it. argh.  patience patience patience. its kinda fun growing your hair long. trying different products, and vitamins.  BTW, Larry Birkhead is the father of Annas baby. I hope he takes good care of her.

Hi Angelspun Smiley.

Yup, you are right that is why we are here.  Wink We are a family of longlockers.  I went to other blogs and websites but none compares to longlocks .

Anyways, Last night i did a scalp and head massage with jojoba oil and an olive oil mister. I also sprayed the sprayology under my tongue about 10x.   I am on my 2nd cup of green tea with mint.  I took a shower and used a dab of baby shampoo, then rinse. i forgot to cold rinse. then combed and put jojoba oil and aloe on my hair. Finally it went into a bun. Im still shedding hair.  arghhh.  Im going to a bridal shower today and i love to look at everyones length. My sisters hair god bless her has gotten  long.  Longest she has ever had it. about almost over her bra strap. Im determined to set a good example for my little one. Im going to order 2 more sprayology when i get a chance.  Ma says the other day that my hair looked knotty and it looks like i havent been combing it. but i do its because its so curly. Im glad she said something it reminded me to go back to longlocks.  I think i might want to see a hair therapist/ tri(something). Im going to look for one.  Well until next time.

Dear Journal,

Well i threw away my hair scizzors.  I also put some more olive oil on the ends and put it back in a bun. Then for  lunch i had some yummy hummos with pita bread and and orange. I was thinking what should i eat that will be good for my hair. I just ordered some more sprayology and some herbal hair tea.   Healthy scalpy, healthy hair they say. I can still feel pain on my scalp from a bad coloring job 3 years ago. yikes. Yesterday i put a ton of jojoba oil on my scalp with the massage and it felt so good.  I just finished my 3rd cup of  green tea with mint for the day.  I regret trimming my hair i wish i just bought a split end repair. You live and learn.

There is not a day that goes by that i dont think about our troops and the war. Im so against it and i feel horrible for there families and the troops. God help them!  I wish they would end this war so people can stop being killed. Its so sad. I always make a prayer for them and their families.

Dear Journal,

Well i went to that party and there were so many longhaired gals.  I kept guessing everyones lenghth. Anywho i just deep moisterized my hair for about 30 min with Longhairlovers moisterizing masque.  My hair feels silky and smooth. Its back in a bun and i used infusium 23 leave in treatment on the ends.  Im making me a cup of green tea with mint. I just finished an apple. I heard apples make your hair shiny.  I finished my last sprayology and i cant wait until the new ones come in.  I forgot to take my vitamins yesterday. Hopefully i remember today. I was also too tired to do a head massage which i enjoy. Not too much hair came out today Grin.  Well until next time.

Dear Journal,

There were a few things i read yesterday online. First is you are never to old to grow your hair out. Thats encouraging.  Grin  The next thing was not taking care of your hair can be a sign of depression. I totally forgot to take care of my hair for about 9 months post partum. I was in a fog. Everything was blurry. I dont even remember too much of it.  Then when i was cutting my hair i was thinking. Start new start fresh, remove All damaged hair. Cry Its about 23 inches long but im not measuring for a while. My goal is 40 inches. i wish. It going to be about 2.5 years until i see that goal. Half of the fun is getting there. Cool

Im taking

  Silica
  Msm
  Beta carotene
  Lysine
  Prenatal
  Hair Nutrient
  Biotin

I got wheat germ oil. It is rich in vitamin E. I read it is very good for hair.

Dear Journal,

Well i did it. I finally joined Weight Watchers. These last 20 pounds just dont want to go away and my cute clothes dont fit me. I decided i needed to do something after trying on some pants in a store.  Embarrassed

My hair is the same. I a  cold rinse. Then off in a bun. I put a little wheat germ oil on the ends. It says its rich in vitamin E.  My sprayology came in. I started using it right away.

lol Nothing like trying on clothes in front of a 3-way mirror under the most unforgiving light ever to boost a woman's morale about her weight, eh?  Tongue  Good luck shedding the extra pounds and getting yourself onto a healthier track. Your hair needs proper nourishment to grow long and gorgeous.  Wink

Dear Journal,

All is pretty much the same.  I feel so much better that i invited my mother in law and father in law to dinner last week. I havent seen them since my post partum depression hit. I didnt want to see anyone and thankgod they were patient with me.  My husband has a really big family and i havent seen most of them yet. Im kinda  nervous about seeing everyone else. Im kinda embarressed that i had post partum depression.  I know its not my fault and i had no control over it.   I just have to accept it.    If anyone has advice on this i would appreciate it.

Hair is pretty much the same.  Last night i put coconut oil on the ends. No matter how much oil or anything i put on the ends they still get dry. I guess they are still so damaged from coloring.  My hair is a two tone ugly color.  The only thing that bothers me is that is continues to fall out. I will be patient. I am going to try to find a hair doctor(tri-something).

Good to "see" ya again, Curlygirl.  Smiley

I'm sure that your husband's family will understand about you not wanting to see anyone for awhile. Childbirth can be a traumatic thing, and I'm sure that your MIL especially will be sympathetic. She might have gone through the same thing once upon a time.

Have you considered seeing a dermatologist about your shedding problem? They can help with all sorts of hair issues and would be able to tell you why you're still shedding. Having never had children myself, I have no idea how long the post-delivery shedding can last.  Huh

PPD is a very real condition, as you already know.  It has also been in the news more lately, so I am sure your extended family will understand.  I'm glad you are feeling better, I hope the dinner with the in-laws went well.  I'm sure everyone is more interested in the little one than you anyway!!  Wink

As for the shedding, I know it will continue until your hormones level off again.  Nursing the baby will extend that period.  I'm all for nursing as long as you are comfortable with it and the baby is thriving - the heck with the hair - it will grow back - but baby only gets this one change to get all the good anti-bodies and special bonding that occurs when nursing.

If you think your shedding is going beyond the normal - make sure they check your thyroid.  Hair loss is a symptom of thyroid problems.

Thankyou Angelspun and BB Kiss,

I'm on a search to find a trichologist(hair doctor...I think thats how you spell it). Maybe that will help with the shedding. I have never thought about seeing a dermatologist for the hair loss but its worth a try. I will research both.

As for the inlaws, the dinner a couple weeks ago went very well thankgod.  It went smoothly and i talked to my mother in law yesterday. She enjoyed herself at our gathering. Im staying positive.

Hair news,  I got a hair detangler comb and Wild hair growth oil. Last night i braided my hair and it was a nice change. My hubby said it was cute. Roll Eyes  Thanks to one of the longlockers  I found that comb at Sallys the Krest tangle Tamer.  It works wonderfully and im so glad i got it.

Hopefully all is well with everyones hair.
