Hi Angelspun, i like your new avatar.  More goth than your mama. LOL. hahaha. how funny!  Thankgod all is well here and i hope everything is well with you and your hair.   i hope i can keep up with your journal.

Hair news- Hair has only been in a clip this past week. The clip doesnt pull out your hair, but scrunchies for me pull out some hair. i need to buy more clip. At night they are annoying when i am trying to sleep.  I just used organic olive oil root stimulater for dry thristy hair.  My hair liked it.

Party- the party was fabulous!  it was so much fun.  Alot of women had short hair.  i let mine down and loose.

                                                            xoxo,

hehehe Thanx.  Wink
Things are pretty crazy here, but I'm plowing through it all as usual. On the hair front, I'm starting to experiment with different styles.

And I'm sure you were the belle of the ball with your long curls, babe. All of those short-haired ladies were probably jealous.  Wink

Thanks Trisha and Angelspun . I feel like  longlocks is my extended family.  Smiley

Hair news-Hair got two compliments.   One from my neice who said "wow your hair got long" and one from my sister in law who said "nice hair". So Thankgod for my hair. even though it is thin. its long and thin.  I wish it were thicker.  My hair routine is cool rinse with Aussie conditioner. Then, lightly towel dry, and put a dab of Pantene Pro-V anti frizz creme for curls. It says softens curls and smoothes frizz. Next, i use  SoftSheen Optimum OIL Therapy for a shine booster. I twist my hair and use a claw to keep in place. I use my detangler comb and Longhairlovers  brush for the front.  I love longlocks and being a long hair diva. Roll Eyes I wish i had more time to comment on longhair ladies journals, but at least i have time to type in my journal.

                                                    xoxo Kiss,

Dear Journal,

My hair has been getting lots of compliments on its length. Im so glad im growing it long. I will set a good example for my daughter, hopefully.  I bought more hair clips, Thicker Fuller Hair   thickening serum, and Herbal Essences long term relationship conditioner for long hair. It says with a fusion of red rasberry satin. I do love red rasberry tea.

For breakfast , i just made these awesome chocolate chip pancakes.  You can top it with walnuts, bananas, strawberries and more chocolate chips. it was a big hit!

                                                          xoxo,

thanks Angelspun!

My husband finally noticed how long my hair is getting. he said "wow your hair is getting long".  He says its almost up to my rear and i should leave it down more often.  i will try to leave it down more, but with daily life's adventures its just easier to put it up in a clip and forget about it.   Maybe i will leave it half up and down with a clip in it.

dear journal,

there is a yearning desire for me to straighten my hair.  i don't know why.  i feel like having silky smooth hair. My hair is curly and its been a frizz ball. yesterday i had it down when my neighbor came over with her two kids. we had like a mini playgroup for our children.

anyways i have been writing poetry for a magazine called 'Spirit Magazine, A magazine designed for the diverse woman'.  It is high quality and inexpensive. it is $20 for the year at amazon.com.   I personally love it. It has lifted my spirits and healed my soul.  In the upcoming issue i have some poetry listed. If you would like to order it or learn more about it you can google  it. i like it because you don't have to be a size 0 to read it, and it spiritually stimulates your mind. I have been writing for the past year and it is a good outlet for moi.

the weather has been gorgeous here 75 this week. its incredible in Chicago.  Its made everyone happy.

Yay! We have a new president. this is so exciting and history has been made. Go Barack Obama!!! We voted for him.

                                                           xoxo,

Good to hear from ya, Curlygirl. Smiley

Congrats on the publication.

Straight hair is overrated. I've had it my whole life and really don't see what the big deal is all about. Roll Eyes It's not that I discourage experimentation...I discourage harming your hair.

Thank you ladies! You longlockers are always here for me and that means a lot to me.   Kiss

hair is down now pulled back down on the side of my shoulder and of coarse curly.   I'm so thankful to be apart of longlocks. The people on here are so down to earth.  Growing my hair long has been a fun hobby and has made me a happier person.  It is like a secret society of longhairlovers. hehehe    well we are off to give the kids a trim. Only a trim.  I will be there watching them!   Then we might go to a restaurant. I dont know which one we will let our palates decide.

Dear Journal,

It is rainy today and i love rainy days.  My hair is simply chic in a bun. I put olive oil on it because a stylist on the Oprah show said olive oil is a good conditioner.   On Good Morning America they brought how you can tell your health by the condition of your hair, but i missed that show. Darn.   Undecided
If you look at my hair you can tell its shiny and healthy. ThankGOD.  Thanks to all i learned on longlocks.

The kids hair trim went well. They just took a trim off. It was at Cool Cuts and that place was really cool. The kids get to play video games while getting there hair cut.   It was $25 per child.  They did exactly what i said, "No clippers, just a trim".
It was great.

                                                           xoxo,

Dear Journal,

My 5 year old got a hold of the kids scizzors and snipped one of Julia's blond ringlets off.  ARGG. I was so upset, because I am trying to grow Julia's hair long although she is only 2.5 years old.  Her hair is so frizzy, I can't wait until it gets longer so i can braid it, and it will be less frizzy. I already have a plan. I will braid it the night before school, then in the morning i will let it down for her. Frizz free curls. I hope so.  We will have to wait and see.  Thankfully i learned so much at longlocks that will last me a lifetime.   My hair is down curly with a scrunchie in it.  I did the usual routine, but i used head and shoulders shampoo because it balances the ph on your hair and i used a conditioner for long hairs. Its a red bottle but i forgot what its called and i dont feel like going upstairs to get it. sowwy. I did a lot of shopping today for the hollidays and im pleased with myself!   I know i have more to do.

                                                   xoxo,
