Lord, you bring back such memories of my grandmother making "flowers".  She used flour, parmasaen(?)cheese, fresh parsley, eggs, salt,a few other fresh herbs, dropped into olive oil and fried em up!  Don't do much anything but the vegan thing or pescatarian thing now myself, but when I was a kid those zuccinis could grow flowers fast enough in Grandpa's garden!! Sounds like company is coming!!  I love artichokes, too!  They are my favorite veggie!  Mmmmm,if it wasn't 3:30am I'd be hungry!!lol!
I like to make my artichokes in a pressure cooker with fresh garlic, parsly, sea salt and olive oil.  Don't forget the stems(cleaned and peeled),they are tasty, too!!

Dear Hair Diary,

Hairs been behaving.  I did my bellydancing yesterday so today is power walking (must see if the zucchini plants have more flowers!)...

Time for a little rant:

I know two men S and E who are currently on diets.  S is on a fad diet and E takes diet pills.  S thinks he's going to loose weight by not exercising and eating lipton sidekicks.  E drinks pop and eats candy, again no exercise and thinks he's going to loose weight too.  Both have huge pot bellies and are over 40.  And both have bragged that they have lost weight.  I though from were?  Your little toe? I told them they had to work at it and they both said only women have to because they have fat buts!... Right then we wil see whoes on the right program this spring!... men!

Rant over!...

Well the water in my berometer is going up the spout so its going to rain today.  We really need the rain here.

Bye for now!

Well, WE already know who's on the right program. Wink

Desperate to lose 10 lbs, I went out and bought some diet pills.  That was my effort to try and do it the easy way.  Part of the reason was because I was having knee problems that at times, would prohibit me from working out.  Anyway, in the end, I decided that I would work around my knee problems and lose weight the correct way as opposed to being dependent on diet pills.  Even if they work, using them doesn't provide the right foundation for longterm weight loss.  In the end it's about changing your fitness and diet lifestyle and pills just don't fit into that equation. Tongue  Also, the pill package states that you have to exercise and eat a sensible diet when you're on the pills so, I don't even understand the need for the pills if you still have to do the work anyway. Huh

Very true!  I knew a girl at my old job who was on diet pills for years.  she was always rushing about and running into people.  One night she took my till to count it in the office and as she turned she hit me in the face with it!  I was okay but everyone gave her crap and told herto slow down.  Me?  I cried it hurt so much.  But the point of this story is that once she stopped taking the pills she balloned up to 300 pounds. As you said diet pills are not a good foundation for long term weight loss.  As for the men?  They know were they can go! Roll Eyes

Dear Hair Diary,

Have been able to wash my hair once a week without a greasy scalp. I've been bunning alot and making nice waves and volume.
I see the doctor this week.  I've been seeing him for years and last time he gave me a lecture and said if your not having kids you should get fixed then went on about all the different operatations IUD's and such.  I'm like sh#$! I am not a 12 year old. Brother did he go on!  I figured one of his sons must have got a girl pregnant,  he must have done cause he was in a fit about the subject.  I have already started pre-menapause!  I was insulted and angery.....  so I'm not bringing it up when I see him Thursday.  I'll talk about my tooth surgery and gross him out!  BTW this doctor is my shrink not my GP.  So I'm not looking forward to this meeting....

On other fronts it has been really cold!  Lastnight I had the heater on in the bedroom with bunny under the covers with me.  Here comes winter!

bye for now!...

Shocked  Wow, I think I would've gotten back on the pills. Undecided

You know I had an experience with my dermatologist that was similar to your doctor experience.  She wasn't saying I should get "fixed" (anyway, what is that???  like you're a cat or something Roll Eyes)  but she seemed to be a bit overly interested in my birth control methods and my decision to reproduce or not.  I think she was a quack! Angry

I can't believe it's that cold there already!  Is that normal this time of year in Canada?

I think the girl stoppd taking the diet pills cause she was getting too hyper. Lips Sealed
I know I did feel like a cat, the man has no tact! It really pisses me off when people nag me about my decision not to reproduce!  Not having a baby does not make me less then a women.... As you can imagine I have been nagged alot, sorry for the rant. Embarrassed Lips Sealed

It's pretty normal for a woman who decides not to have children to get all kinds of flak for it. Personally, I think one should get nagged if they do decide to have children in this day and age. I really don't understand why anyone would want to, other than the fact that they just want to. That's just me, though...

You are so lucky to have cold weather so early in the year. Northerners have all the luck. I'm in SoCal where it's still in the upper 80's. Want to trade?  Roll Eyes
