Dear Hair Diary,

I found my bellydancing helps with PMS, I was wondering if it was okay to bellydance will on ones period?  I was told not to do yoga at that time of the month.  As usual my hair goes freaky now and my skin as well.  Though I am not pimply my skin on my face has a grey look to it. Tongue

Yawn!  It 5:30 yuck.  I'm off to bed...

Why shouldn't you do yoga during your period?  As a competitive athlete from the time I was 5, there was no "down time" for me and in fact I found that exercising helped eliminate cramps and that bloated feeling.  I've never done yoga or bellydancing, but I don't see any reason that you couldn't do either.

Some poses should not be done in yoga while you have your period, but there are over 900 poses to do,so you can have many many options!

Bikerbraid, Curlygirl Thanks! You know when I was a teenager my mother told me all these things one was not to do at that time of the month.  No swimming, no bathes, stay way from men plus all these old wives tales about making food spoil. ...

Dear Hair Diary,

I did a calrifying wash lastnight and my hair is very happy!  It curled up nicely and I wore a hair net to bed to keep the curls nice.  I need to cut my fingernails, they grow like weeds. Lips Sealed  I am back on Biotin as my hair has been shedding alot.  I see the doctor today....  Lat time I weghted myself I was 139!  We'll see what his scale says.

Haven't has enough money to get a vaccum cleaner yet..... I've been sweeping four rugs everyday....

I took a break from working out yesterday and made it my pamper myself day.  I did my face masks.  I do a Amla, a mud, a peel off one and a yoghert one.

Well, cinderella's off to sweep!

Bye for now!

139lbs!!! Way to go!  You're turning into a skinny minnie! Cheesy

I hear ya about the fingernails, mine have always been that way.  I wish my hair grew at such a fast rate.

I think sweeping four rugs a day IS a work out! Shocked  You needed to pamper yourself. Wink

BTW, in case you hadn't found any information about bellydancing, that time of the month, I've never heard that you couldn't.  I do, but I don't do yoga, as I've also heard that it shouldn't be done then.

Speaking of bellydancing check out this link when you get the chance.  Actually I'll post 2.  The first one is Blanca the one I mentioned to you before, I love her.  The second one is a dancer named Autmn Ward who performed in a bellydance concert in NYC a few weeks ago, that I so desperately wanted to go to.  Tickets were only about $25 but I couldn't swing the price of travel.  Oh well, I hope you enjoy them! Cheesy

Hehehe!  Thanks! I feel a lot better now that I lost the weight! Cool Wow your nails grow fast too?!  I use a large clipper to cut them and sand paper to file as there really hard.  When I worked at SDM they used me as a hand and nail model alot.  And once they dressed me up as Catherine Zita-Jones for an Elizabeth Arden perfume promo. Roll Eyes I'm sorry you could not see Autume, I know the feeling as the BellyTwins are in my town this weekend giving a talk and a class.  It's 30 bucks to get in and god knows how much for the class.  Oh well I'll see them one day! And no doubt you will see Autume too!

Thank you for the U Tube links!  I really liked Blanca!  I wonder what style of bellydancing she was doing? I would like to try dancing with the lights! Cheesy

Dear Hair diary,

Went to the doctor yesterday and I'm 139 still!  Heheh! Woo hoo! Happy dance!...  It's good to see all the hard work playing off!...

I am trying something new wth my hair this time.  I'm finger combing the waves with a touch of perfumed jojoba oil and at night I am putting my hair in a curl cap instead of braiding.  I find this helps with keeping the curls nice and avoiding frizz.  Yesterday my work out was walking to my doctor who is about 3 miles away.  One the way back I had a seat on the gound in the park and watched the ducks play in the creek, very relaxing!  Today is bellydancing and garden work!

Bye for now!...

Horay for you! Smiley

Too bad you can't see the bellytwins, I'm sure that would be fun.

The concert in NY wasn't just Autumn but also Blanca and all of the other NYC Bellydance superstars.  They did a fantasy bellydance concert.  Blanca posted pics on her website, they are amazing!  She even danced in a dress that she made that lit up, so beautiful *sigh*.

I've tried making my own routine with the candles, it's fine once you get used to them... and over the fear that you may set yourself on fire. Grin

It sounds like you've had a relaxing morning, hope the rest of your day is great too! Cheesy

Dear Hair Diary,

I was a busy little bee today!... I cleaned out the fridge, put stuff up on ebay (car stuff) , made Pesto from the basil in my garden..., went to the library, had my walk.  Oh!  yesterday I saw two pretty doe's on my back 40!  Haven't seen much of them this year so it was a real treat!...

Hairs been doing good so no problems there, thank gods.

Bye for now!...

Dear Hair Dairy,

Yawn! It's 5 in the morning here and between hubbies snoring and some animal making a racket in the yard there's no sleep for me! Bugger!... The only other person up is bunny and he's on my lap now licking my arm!

Well fall is here!  I hope I can go trick-or-treating with my neice again.  This time I will go as Ruby Gloom.....  In Canada, Thanksgiving is in October, but since not everyone can make it hubbies family is doing it on Sunday. (whoop de do!)...  We don't have good time at these dinners cause all the flack we get for not eating turkey.  If I bring our own food, of which I think is a good idea, my MIL glares at it and us the whole dinner.  So we are stuck with Mum's over cooked veggies...
Good thing is for the real Thanksgiving I get to cook for me and hubby!  That cheered him up!  Time to make him some of his favorites like veggie lasangne, home made veggie sushi, home made samosa's, grilled salmon...  Now that would be great!...  You know I haven't cooked him a holiday meal since before we were married.  He's had x-mass and thanksgiving with me and my parents years ago.  For him it was his first Itialian dinners.  He sort of panicked when he saw how much there was for four people!...  When I told him I would cook this year he said maybe they'll move x-mass too!  I wish!...

bye for now!...

Ohh, Lisabelle! All of this talk about Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas plans are getting me so stoked for the season!  Cheesy

Sorry that your MIL doesn't approve of your cooking...or your eating. I have a cousin who has refused to eat turkey ever since the infamous "turducken incident" a few years ago.  Tongue  Her family understands and she & I support each other in our "mostly vegetarian" tendencies. hehe To each their own, ya know?

Hope there isn't too much drama during the impending get togethers. If your MIL starts giving you dirty looks, just look the other way and ignore her.
