Khrome--Thanks for the link! My grandma used to crochet so I guess I should ask her for help.  Smiley

Lisabelle--lol! Isn't Ichiroya cute?! I got an origami heart too. Did you get the fabric sampler as well?

Juri yes there so sweet!  I didn't get the fabric sampler but was so tickled to get the origami heart.  I've been practicing my origami again, wow it's hard!  My favorite one to do is water balloons!

Moonchild, that's great!  I've been knitting Harry Potter Hogwarts house scarves.  Got hubbies Ravenclaw on the needles right now! 8)  Here's the link for anyone who wants to try! Grin

Water balloons are cute. I remember my paternal grandma making them and my cousins and I would hit them off of tennis rackets. I don't think we ever tried to fill them with water.  Tongue

Have you tried to make cranes? I have such a hard time getting them "perfect" looking. There's usually edges that don't match up or the underside of the paper is showing in places. We Japanese in Hawaii have a tradition where the bride is supposed to fold 1001 paper cranes and those cranes are usually arranged into the husband's family crest and then given to the husband or his family as a gift. The idea behind that is to teach the bride patience, but I think that would only make women annoyed and frustrated. Well, I would get frustrated.

Juri Water balloons are fun!  I fill them up and they really hold the water!  We would throw them around in the backyard.

I have heard of the 1001 cranes. Eeek!! I can't do them at all!  My hubby can thought, when we where dating he made me a crane from the little paper inside a cigarette pack!

Deat Hair Diary,

I tried the Natures Gate shampoo and so far, so good.  No greasies and no tangles! Smiley  Before I washed I used Anais's Jojoba/Shea butter treatment over night.  Excellent stuff that!  A+ !!!

Bye for now!  Grin

Cute!  Smiley

BTW, is the EO spray still keeping the spiders from biting?

Is there always a lot of spiders or is it more like a seasonal thing? I hope it's seasonal, but at least you have the spray.

Well, I only get bitten occassionally and it's by the house spiders, not the cane spiders I was telling you about. At least I hope the bites are from the small spiders...

Big spideys seem to come out in the fall for us.   They don't get inside.  But in the beginning of summer a whole bunch of little ones with fat legs invaded the house. Shocked

I heard a similar story about paper cranes.  There is a children's play based on it - I haven't seen it or read the screenplay, but it sounds kind of sad.
http://www.childrenstheatreplays.com/atc2.htm

The belief is that if you are sick you can fold a thousand cranes and your wish to be well will come true.  The story that I heard was that a teacher was sick, and her Japanese student made the cranes for her and sent them to her in a big box.  I think she ended up hanging every one of them on her ceiling.

Cynde Thank you for that link!  I had never heard that story before and found it quite moving.
