Maroula, Bikerbraid,  I know that when the time comes and bunny has to go it's going to be hard.  I would never want him to suffer so I'll do the right thing. Thanks for all your support, you guys are great!!!

Here are the bun covers Mum made, I still need a cable for my camera and were having trouble locating one..

Pretty bun covers!

I'm sorry to hear of your mom and agree with the rest: don't listen to her! As a bunny owner it's your responsibility to take best possible care of your little friend no matter how much it might cost. Bunny is not an object, but a being- and I'm sure his value can't be measured in money anyway.
It's another question altogether, at what point he is suffering so much that euthanasia is kindest thing to do. One day in not-so-distant future you may face that as your bunny is very old, but you can postpone that day by taking good care of Mr Bun. Regular vet visits just for monitoring his health might be a good idea- that way any possible problems can be treated while they are still small. Enjoy your time with him- old bunnies are wisest and sweetest bunnies. Smiley
I have experienced death of three bunnies in my family. Arranging a little burial will help. So does getting a new bunny in a few weeks: though the deceased bunny was an individual, hearing a soft sounds of hopping and carrot-eating will help.  Smiley
I hope that your vet visit goes well!

Dear Hair Diary,

Today I wanted to do a run down of what products work for me so far.

Dabur Shampoo
Natures Gate Condis
Jojoba oil
Camillia oil
Shea butter
AVC
EVOO
Coconut milk

I think when it comes to the condish I will need something stronger for the winter, as it is so dry up here.  In the winter I sleep every night with a warm air humidifter.  When I was by Mum's I noticed that my SIL's had such dry hair!  Don't want to wind up like that!  Embarrassed
Oh man... the rag weed's out and it's allergy time! Pass the tissues!!

Bye for now! Wink

Those bun covers are so cute!!  It's making me want to break out the crochet needles.  I don't have a pattern but it looks simple.  I just don't know what the back is like.  Did your mom put elastic in it, or does it just stay in place with pins?

Cynde thanks!  What mum did was she added an elastic into the last stitch some how..  here's instructions for the small one:

Bun cover
Materials Needed
Small amount DMC Traditions Size 10 Crochet Cotton. Lavender #5211
Medium size Goody Brand hair Elastic
Size 6 Steel crochet hook
Gauge First rnd is 3/4" diameter.
Finished Size 3"diameter.
Skill Level Beginner

If you need to make the bun cover bigger, you can increase the number of rows just before adding to the elastic. And you can use a bigger hook. A size 5.
Instructions
RND 1: Ch6. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Slst into ring. Ch3, (yo, insert hook in ring, draw up a loop, draw through 2lps on hook.) Rep bet () one more time, then yo and draw through last 3 lps on hook. Bobble Made. Ch2. *Rep bet () 3 times then yo and draw through all 4 lps on hook. Bobble Made. Ch2. Rep from * 5 times more. Join w/slst to top of first bobble made.
RND 2: Slst into the first ch2 sp. Ch5. Dc in same sp. Ch2. *Dc, ch2, dc in next ch2 sp. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
RND 3: Ch5. Dc in next dc. Ch2. Dc in next ch2 sp. Ch2. *Dc in next dc, ch2 twice. Dc in next ch2 sp. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
RND 4: Ch5. Dc in next dc. Ch2. Dc in next dc. Ch2. Dc, ch2, dc in next dc. Ch2. *Dc in next dc, ch2 two times. Dc, ch2, dc in next dc. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
RND 5: Ch5. Dc in next dc. Ch2. Dc in next dc. Ch2. Dc in next ch2 sp. Ch2. Dc in next dc. Ch2. *Dc in next dc, ch2, 3 times. Dc in next ch2 sp. Ch2. Dc in next dc. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
RND 6-10: Ch5. *Dc in next dc. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
This next part is a little tricky. You will be adding the elastic. It will have a woven effect.
RND 11: Hold the elastic behind your work. Ch5. *Dc in next dc behind the elastic. Ch2. Dc in next dc in front of the elastic. Ch2. Rep from * around. This may not come out evenly. Don't worry about it, it will not show. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
RND 12: Ch5. Dc in next ch2 sp. Ch2. *Dc in next dc. Ch2. Dc in next ch2 sp. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5. Fasten off and weave ends into work.
You can decorate it with a ribbon if you like.
NOTE: If you do not want to use the elastic, you can use a ribbon in the 11 round instead. Just weave it through and tie it on. It may work better this way anyway.
Also if you want to make this longer, you can increase your number of rows worked in rows 6-10.

AWSOME!!  Thanks for the instructions!  I'm going to look for my crocheting stuff tomorrow.  I think I have some gold floss I had for an old project that I can practice with before I use "the good stuff."

Juri, crocheting came easier to me than knitting.  I bet you can pick it up easily.    When you first start off, you learn three stitches - almost anything crocheted is made up of combining these stitches in different patterns.  What takes time is learning how to make your stitches not too tight or loose.

Here are some pages that can start you off, but it's easier than they make it look.  If you can find someone that can show you in person, that would be even better

Beautiful covers !

As to Bunny - you do what's right for you and him.  We always worry how we will know and somehow, usually, most of do, just know ... and then you will be peaceful with what you decide.

Best Blessings to you ...gabi

Dear Hair Dairy,

I got a bottle of Natures Gate original herbal shampoo at the supermarket the other day.  Will give it a try on wash day.  Got my salior moon buns in today, soon hubby will have no socks left!! Grin. I also got the Natures Gate skin Therapy Colloidal Oatmeal lotion, it really nice!  And.... My Michyuki coat has arrive from japan!  I've been wearing it since it came and I love it!  I got it from Ichiroya and they even tucked a cute Origami heart in to the package!  Neat!

Bye for now! 8)
