My wife thinks that her dad is that way because he does not like in-laws for some reason because she has a cousin on her mothers side and her dad has nothing but bad to say about him.
I think it also has to do with the fact that her mom divorced him for another guy but from what my wife tells me, their marriage was pretty much doomed and I think he will never get over that.

I try my best to get along with him but like I have told my wife he makes that very difficult at times Shocked  He probably would say the same thing about me Roll Eyes

Dear Hair Diary,

Have to wash my hair today.  I have to wear rubber gloves to protect my henna, I want it to look nice and sharpe for tomorrow! Smiley  I just took the past off my right palm and it came out great!

Well I would like to wish everyone Happy Hoildays!  We already celebrated Diwali "the festival of lights" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diwali Which is always fun and more fattening then Christmas! Grin

Love and Light

Dear Hair Dairy,

X-mass was good.  Go some neat stuff!  Hubby got me a DVD set of the first season of I dream of Jeannie, a set of Skinn eyemake up and eye creams and a bra and hip scarf set for Belly dancing, it black with gold coins and dingles plus multi-coloured bells. My SIL, A also got me purple hip scarf and my SIL S got my a practice DVD.  S wants to practice bellydance with me.  Since she's pregant (about 1 month along now) I think I will get her the Belly Twins "Belly Baby" dance DVD and we can do it together. Cool

Talk about dancing, I put on one of my hip scarfs and gave a inpromtued show.  Unfortunatly Mum stopped it saying "Your not stripping here!"  Everyone was disapointed.  I just chalked it up to Mum being a jealous cow!  But it did not dampen my good time. Hubby did warn me not to do it knowing how his mother is, but I just wanted to have some fun!

I gave the cats catnip balls I made and they both ripped open there gifts and were stoned for the day! Grin  I got some hair sticks from S and they are really great!  I put my hair in a bun and the sticks held them all day!  That's a first for me as sticks never stay in my hair!

I hope everyone enjoyed the Hoilday! Wink

I couldn't help but chuckle at your MIL's stripper comment, I'm just glad that you didn't let her ruin your day! Wink  And it seemed that the cat's didn't let her get them down either! Grin

Dear Hair Diary,

Lots to do today!  I'm making sweet tomatoe chutney and I'm doing a heat cap treatment with coconut milk on my hair.  Lastnight we watched some of the I Dream of Jeannie DVD set.  I cannot beleive the show is over 40 years old!  Its still just as funny now as it was then. Cool When I was little I had a crush on Larry Hagman! Roll Eyes Cheesy

I tryed the Bellydance DVD S got me for x-mass.  It was good, hubby was impressed and he stole into the room to watch me dance. Roll Eyes  Thing is the DVD has no instruction on how to do the moves, thankfully I knew how to do them already.  Its a fast paced workout and S wants to try it.  I think I will bring over something slower for her.

Well I'm off! Wink

Hi Amanda, nice to meet you!  Bellydancing and a proper diet is great for loosing weight and toning up the body.  Plus it's fun! Cheesy  I would start with Bellydance Fitness for beginners by the Bellytwins -  Veena and Neena, there very pleasent!  http://www.amazon.com/Bellydance-Fitness-Beginners-Basic-Burning/dp/B00005N8AM/r...
I found there DVD's easier to follow then most ones I have tried.  Other DVD's like
Discovery Bellydance set are great to learn the moves. Venna and Neena are pretty good show you step by step.  http://www.amazon.com/Discover-Bellydance/dp/B00007JZVB/ref=pd_bbs_4?ie=UTF8&s=d... are great to learn the the moves.   Bellydance Core Conditioning http://www.amazon.com/Belly-Twins-Bellydance-Core-Conditioning/dp/B000C3L2C0/ref... also by the Belly Twins is a kick butt workout with Areobics and weight training plus neat moves and shimmies!

As for diet eat breakfast every day and slowly cut down on unhealthy foods.  Each week toss out things like cookies, cakes and replace them with healthy foods like veggies, grains (steelcut oatmeal) and so on.  Also drink lots of water.  Toss out sugery drinks like Coke.  Trust me just doing that alone helps tons!  Try cooking foods you normaly fry in the oven instead.   These lots of stuff you can do and I hope this helps!  Good Luck!  and if you have anymore questions ask away! Wink

Dear Hair Diary,

Hairs doing good.  Did a mini S&D lastnight.  The heat treatment came out awesome Cool

I did some power walking lastnight, did a 45 minute walk out in the rain.  Picked up some milk on the way.  Man it was raining cats and dogs!  You needed a canoe on some corners as the snow had blocked the drains....  Thankfully hubby finished off all the x-mass candy so I do not have it around to tempt me.

Hubbies going to his mothers today to install a bannister in her flat so I will have him out of my hair....

Bye for now! Cool
