Dear Hair Diary,

Well, the weather has gotten a lot cooler and my hair likes it.  I sweat in my hair real bad in the summer so I am enjoying the weather now!  Mind you, I will not be when it's -30 outside...  I made Anais's Jojobo/Shea treatment and it's really good.! My hair and skin love it.  I used some for a massage and found it has good slip without leaving the skin greasy. My hair has grown!  I can really feel it on my back now.  I should measure it soon!

bye for now!  8)

Dear Hair Dairy,

I won a Michiyuki from e-bay the other day. This is a little coat worn over Kimono.  ...

I also got my Obi for the Omeshi (red Kimono) and have been practicing the different ways to tie it.  There are 300 ways to tie and obi!!  I managed to get a halfway decent bow so far. I'll be wearing the Omeshi for Christmas this year.  My hair is getting long!!!!!!  Yeah!!!  Put in EVOO last night and I'm off to wash my hair.

Bye for now!  Cheesy

That is a beautiful garment.  I've always been facinated with the silk fabrics used.  They are truely works of art.

Pretty, pretty! Are you going to learn all 300 obi variations?  Wink I'll be sure to ask you for some tips when I finally buy an obi. Can't wait to see pictures of you in your kimono!

Wow how pretty!!  Are you going to hang them on your wall, like they do in the pics (I've seen them like that in stores too - how nice to have a garment that doubles as wall decor.)  Cheesy

Are there color "rules" when picking out an obi color?  How do you clean these?

Chillipepper Thanks! I once wore a chinese dress to a x-mass party too!  I plan to were my red kimono for X-mass with family.  Then once my fav Japanese restaurant opens up again I will wear my purple kimono and take pictures in the traditional rooms they have there.  That will be cool!!! The michyuki jacket is to be worn over kimono but I can still use it without.

Cynde Thanks!  I am not going to displays these as I have no room on my walls!   I keep them in a draw wraped in rice paper.  I heard the best way to clean them is drycleaning.  What I was told to do is before wearing them to hang them up and air them out.  I put them on a long pole and hang from the ceiling by a window.  When I got them I did this as well.
