La Diosa, Juri Chan, Thanks so much Kiss He is feeling better but still in pain.  He tries to hide it but I can tell.  We have changed the dressing and  the wound is closed and not yucky.  Like Angel said, it is a crappy place to get hurt.  Hubby says thanks to everyone! Smiley

Dear Hair Diary,

Today is wash day. Yesterday I put in my coconut oil pre-treatment and wore it in a braid.  My har loves treatment and I don't mind having oily looking hair for a day. Roll Eyes

Hubbies hand is doing a lot better and I'm glad for that.  I think the henna I orderd off ebay is stuck in customes.  I contacted the buyer and haven't hear back from her yet. Embarrassed

I had a goregous hair sighting lastnight.  I was in SDM when this handsome 6' 2" SWAT cop walked in (they come in alot for asprins!)  Anyway Roll Eyes, he had the most goregous red hair!  Mind you it was short due to his work but I was real dark and curly....  I was in the same isle getting some Tiger Balm. I was kneeling down when I looked up to find I was two inches from the big gun on his hip! ( he had guns on both hips and a canster of tear gas and god knows what!)  He excused himself and helped me up!  I felt like an old lady but a happy one!...  It's rare to see such nice red hair! And he had dark green eyes and freckles to go with it.  That made my night! Wink (i'm always on good looking man alert and cops are my fav's)

Today is bellydancing!!!  I got another DVD in the "Way of the Belly"  book and have been practicing veils.  I like viels!!! Cheesy

Bye for now! Cool

Dear Hair Dairy,

Hair is washed, ojoned and drying in a bun right now.  Yesterday I bought some henna from the indian supermaket (the stuff from e-bay never came Embarrassed )  While I was there I picked up some sandlewood scented talcum powder.  I love powder and must have zillion different types but this one is glorious!! It from Pond's and is made in Indian. It has a light woodsey scent with a touch of floral and spice. I am soooo addicted to it and....it doesn't dry out my skin!  I mixed up my henna lastnight and today added the terps, suger and lemon juice then put the paste into cones.  Tonight is henna night!!

One the flip side, hubby is babysittting again today.  I was not impressed... Angry  We have little time together as it is with him working 10 hours a day. Oh bugger, what's a wife to do? Cry

bye for now!

I put some really neat stuff in my henna mix.  First I make a tea of sorts using, black instant coffee, chai tea, fengreek seeds, cloves, lemon juice, white suger, brown suger, carmindon, vinger, then I boil it and simmer for 1/2 hour then cover and take off heat and let stand over night.   This is then mixed into the sifted powder and left to release the dye overnight  Then I put in more suger, ten drops of tea tree oil and lemon juice and I'm ready to go!  I got my idea's from The Henna Page"  I use cones to apply the henna, I make the out of empty chip bags! Roll Eyes I seal with lemon suger them before wraping I put on a few coats of hairspray. What do you put in your henna? Cool

LaDiosa Thanks!  I did have fun!  I also had to keep my bunny from licking the suger from my feet that I hennaed! Roll Eyes Cheesy

Well, mine is much less interesting and exotic than yours!  I thought about the coffee and maybe some lemon juice, but I just add vinegar to the henna, terp with lavender e/o,sage e/o and rosemary e/o.  I just add hot water to my indigo.  Boring!!!!!  I'm need to do henna and indigo maybe this month or next.  My cousin is getting married in July and I need my hair to be almost black.  The gray is too much now so I'll do doing this soon.  I'd like to add other things though, maybe I'll so a rosemary and sage tea to add to the indigo.  I'll visit the henna page again before I order my stuff from Catherine.  Any suggestions would be gladly accepted Wink  I've done some other adding on previous applications(put it down on the board here) so maybe I'll add to that or try something else.

Curlygirl64,  I really don't know if the mixture I make can go in hair as I just do my skin. I would follow the instuctions on The Henna Page for hair.  I've never hennaed my hair before and am afraid it would look strange.  Still, I have enough red on my hair! Cheesy

Dear Hair Diary,

Been wearing my hair in on pony tail lately.  I found drying it in a bun addes nice wave without the frizz of braids. Cheesy
