Dear Hair Diary,

Had a rotten weekend Cry  My scatica acted up and had me in bed most of the time. I went through a whole bottle of Absorbine Jr, horse strenght!  Cold compresses helped as well.  My little Morgan called me when she heard I was not well, what a little sweetheart! Kiss  My bunny knew I was not well and stood by me most of the day. Kiss I am feeling better today, just a little stiff.  I have to wash my hair as I could not move on Saturday to do it.  I mananged to oil it, put it in a braid and leave it till now.  I was bidding on a Rachael Brice bellydancing DVD and got way out bid Sad So I did a by it now on a set of Belly twins DVDs. I will try to look for Brice's DVD in the stores. The shopping channel had a show this weekend on replicas of Jackie O's jewlery.  I was drooling and I am not a big of of bling!

Anyway I'm off to wash my hair.
Bye for now...

I am so sorry you have had such a bad week.  I hope you feel much better quickly!!!

You know, I never knew that there were belly dancing videos.  On this forum I have seen several people say they do belly dancing and that it makes there body core strong and defined...and I thought...I am sooooo fat right now I would not have the guts to go do a class...but home videos!!!  I can do that alone and not feel toooooooo bad.  Pls, tell me, are there ones that are particularly good that I should look into?  Thanx for your help.

Update, I looked on Ebay for a video...have sent them a question about the one I was looking at to see if it is suitable for a REAL beginner.  Umm, cannot remember the name...Twin Belly Core Strengthening or something close to that.  Thanx again for the info.

Dear Hair Diary,

Thankfully I feel better today.  Lastnight I got a good sleep, I wish I could say the same for hubby.  His tooth was really bugging him something aweful.  So much so, he went to get a pair of long nose plyers!  I'm like oh no, I am not spending the night in the ER of one of Ontario worst hospitals again!  Tongue Thankfully he could not get a grip on the shard of tooth that was bugging him (phew!) Poor guy needs dentures, but man its too costly and we don't have a health plan. Undecided

Anyway today I will do my walk, don't want to get out of shape.  I've got bunny on my lap right now and he has fallen asleep!  Awwww! Cheesy

bye for now!

Lisabelle, congrats on the twelve pounds! I do belly dancing! I learned it in Egypt from my friends, but I've also seen some good belly dancing basic videos. It's really fun! Do you have a colorful scarf to tie around your hips when you dance? It's really fun to get a scarf with little bells on it, or beads that jingle. As for  having long hair, it goes hand in hand with the belly dancer's look Smiley
hope your sciatica is back to normal soon.

Hi roomtogrow!

I feel alot better that I have lost the weight and am looking forward to loosing more! I think its realy cool that you learned bellydancing in Egypt!  I would love to go there.  I have a black hip scraf with sliver beads and coins, I also have a Tikka cap that is green and a viel that's green with silver coins. And I have a ankel braclet and a belt that all little bells.  I got the belt from a bellydancer I met at a festival years ago.  My sciatica has it moments but it is feeling better.  Thanks again!...

Dear Hiar Diary,

I did my good deed for the day! Cheesy We had a bird stuck in the basement, a big black one.  I think it was a starling?  Anyway, I managed to get the poor thing out and without hurting it.  I am happy I did cause if my landlord knew there was a bird there he would have killed it. Angry

Today is clarifying day.  I just gave my scalp a good cleaning with my nails.  It's hot today! whew and I still have to mop the floors then the house work is done! Grin Cool

Yesterday, being fathers day, I watched all of Dad's favorite movies.  I also had flowers placed on his grave for me as he is buried in a U.S Military cemetery.  This is done by a Desert Storm soldier, who does the upkeep for me along with putting a new flag down when the old one gets worn.  Dad's favorite movies were:  Patton, Heartbreak Ridge, The Battle of the Bulge (of which he was in the real battle), The Longest Day and The Big Red One.  As you can tell Dad was a Army Sargent in WWII.  I miss him but I do see parts him in me and I know that telling his stories keeps his memeory alive for me.

Bye for now! Smiley
