Well, I must say that I had to learn the hard way. The legal drinking age in Germany is 16. You can stay in a bar until 10:00 pm on weekends it's midnight. My Dad let me have parties at home when I was barely 14 and we always had alcohol. Do I think that this was a good thing? Looking back now, I have to say NO! I raised my kiddos a lit bit different. Made them more aware of the problems with alcohol and the "day after".
Today, I drink - if anything - wine. That's it.

Drink (if you want to) and enjoy your birthday. But make sure that you are in control at all times. A good friend who watches out can be very helpful too, if you drink more than you should.  8)

=) Yeah, my boyfriend always accompanies me when I go out, but sometimes I have to babysit HIM! Tongue

Not much has been going on.  My hair is just kinda----there.  It loses moisture so fast sometimes.  I'm just staying patient and keeping it off of my face.  Outta sight, outta mind! Cheesy Cheesy

I am going to inline insomniacs tonight.  It is a rollerblading club that goes skating around campus from midnight to 1am.  It's really fun.  Too bad I have to wake up at 8am =((

Oh well, I can take a nap sometime tomorrow Happy

I've done midnight bike rides (with a full moon).  It can be so beautiful and peaceful - depending on where you go.  Then again, my ride in to work in the dark at 5:30am probably has fewer people on the road than at midnight!  Grin

The skate was GREAT!  We went though a path that was in a forest preserve.  We took a break to look at the stars.  I haven't seen so many stars---ever.  We had one girl who showed us dozens of constellations.

I really don't have anything to say about my hair..except that I conditioned it twice today and it feels "clean."  It's so strange.

I'm going to wait for my hair to completely dry and add some drops of jojoba.

No hair talk.  So much schoolwork.  It makes my brain ache.

I'm handcoloring a photo completely on the computer again.  Which was kind of a bad idea....since it's very time consuming.  Here's a 5 hour look into my avatar project.

Assignment:  Design an anthropomorphic representation of the word given.  This should embody the element that you are to illustrate.  Research thoroughly!  Look to other cultural aspects of your word.

Here's some example words:
Apathy
Hunger
Death
War
Poverty
Greed
Lust

My word was:
Day

"Day is represented as a young child.  She is protected in her mother's night sky (that's totally not drawn in yet.... Shocked) while she plays with her favorite toy...the sun.  She hides it behind her cloudy dress that grounds her to the earth. (the landscape is totally not drawn in yet, either....)

But like all children, she cannot stay awake forever."

Pan, I think you have a lot of talent!  For all of my ability in other mediums of art, drawing & painting elude me.  I admire your gift!

Do you think maybe someday if I make some CD's you'd consider doing the cover art?

Can't wait to see the finished project.

WOW  8)

That looks great!! I wished I could draw. Everything looks the same when I draw something: dog, cat, cow, horse - I always ended up writing next to it what it is supposed to be.  Roll Eyes

Very nice, Panpeus!  Cheesy  I tried coloring a picture using Adobe Photoshop last year so I can empathize with how hard it can be to color a picture on a computer.

Thanks so much, everyone!  It REALLY helps to hear some of your comments...especially when I can't color something correctly! >__<

Not much going on hair wise...as usual.  So I guess no news is good news.

Lots of stuff has been going on in other areas.  Trying to keep up with my studies.  Our DDR tournament was on the first 1.  I got second place out of the UIUC finishers.  I would have gotten farther in the tournament, but a little yahoo (for the lack of a better term...) complained for a good 20 minutes that we should replay the song.  So I said "Okay" because we had to get back on time, and I messed up.  But that's what happens sometimes. ;/

I'll have to post some pictures of the event.  It's pretty cool!

Also, I've been working on my project for image making.  I would say its at like...60% completed?  Something like that.  Here it is!

File is kinda big.  Look out!

That's all from me, though.  It's been a busy weekend.

Thanks Juri and Moonchild!  I have to go to a critique in 20 minutes to talk about that image.  I hope everyone likes it.

My hair is feeling softer and a bit longer.  Has anyone else had that (whoa, I didn't know my hair hit there) kind of feeling?  I got it today.  It was a great feeling.

I definately have a case of the Mondays.  I don't want to do any work, but I KNOW that I have to get a few things done.  Or else, it will be the end of me! >_<

School is frustrating sometimes  Roll Eyes
