Intro The story of my glory (sad)
Jan 4th, 2006 at 4:13pm

Hi Everyone,im new to this message board, and it has loads of wonderful information,so Im really glad that I joined. My story starts with me and my childhood,I really didnt like anything about myself,I was the fat, dorky kid in glasses that no one wanted to hang around.I loved having long hair,so I always took care of it,being the daughter of a hairdresser, and having sisters also in the buisness,I learned how to take care of it early in life,I used only the best salon products, and it grew long, down to my butt...it was the one thing I loved about myself and people would always compliment my hair...when I became a teenager I started dieting and went on an extreme diet that would rob me of my health, and cause my immune system to go down so low,I wound up with digestive problems, hormone problems, and CFIDS AND EI....I lost so much of my beautiful hair I had no choice but to cut it all off,im battling several health problems, and at the same time trying to nourish my hair back to health.I know its going to take time and patience,I know its going to be a proccess, but im here to learn about it,because I believe hair is a symbol of our feminity as women, and is our glory,as it is written in the bible.Good luck everyone, and looking foreward to learning all I can Smiley

Greetings and welcome Tarrenae. What a lovely screen name you have! It sounds so ancient and mystical...

Sorry to hear about your troubled childhood. I was always a loner and an outcast as well...and I didn't even have great hair to redeem myself!  Tongue  Grin

But with time and age comes wisdom, maturity, and (hopefully) the ability to just accept yourself as you are. If others aren't able to attain those things, you're better off without them. You don't need anyone's negativity to pull you off of your cloud.  Grin

Tell us more about your hair. What colour, length, texture, etc. it is. That way, it may be easier for some of us to give you tips if you need them.  Wink

Crash dieting is no way to go. I wish you all the best in regrowing gorgeous, long hair! Welcome aboard!  Smiley

Hi Tarrenae!  I'm so sorry to hear about the health problems you had to endure.  I can relate to that, always having been sickly myself.

I hope we can give you some helpful tips.  Long hair is great, but try to join the lengths in between because they can be beautiful too.  Cheesy
