hi everybody!
Jan 28th, 2006 at 8:22pm

hello!

I sort of stumbled across this site a few weeks ago and have kept coming back.  And I thought I was alone with this hair fixation thing! Let's see... I've never actually measured my hair - it's about to my hips and very fine, and brunette. I'm sure some of you have experienced the joys of fine hair- like when you can practically watch the barrette slide down the length of your hair, etc. Smiley It's nice to meet all of you !

Greetings and welcome, Ophelia!  Smiley

What a lovely screen name you have....reminds me of Shakespeare's "Hamlet."  Wink

Your hair sounds beautiful.  Cheesy
My hair is very fine also & used to be down to my waist. And I am a brunette also. Er...light brunette. Is yours light also? Or dark? Or somewhere in between?

If you have an obsession with long hair, this is definitely the place to be! I'm sure you'll find all kinds of help & information. Well, look forward to more of your posts.

God bless & happy growing.  Smiley

Hi guys!

Thank you so much for your kind replies!!! My hair is a middle brown with some lighter parts in it. Most hair (undyed) is a sort of mix of shades, don't you think? my last 12-18 inches is lighter than the rest. has anybody else noticed this? I haven't bleached any of the hair I currently have. I used to do fun things to it with purple and black dyes. I'm a rather lazy little goth though, and I realized that I actually like my natural color, not to mention having healthy hair- so I am brunette once more.

                       sorry about the ramble,

                                       Ophelia

Welcome to LL!  Your hip-length hair sounds great!  I used to wish I was a brunette.

I hope you like it here. Wink

Yeah! Natural color usually looks better on a person anyway. I'm trying to go back to natural myself.

Always good to have another fellow goth on board!  Grin

You're so not alone in the haircolouring traumas of the past!
Mine was once an indigo black, but that totally ruined my waist-length hair.  Cry  I literally had to cut it all off & start over. I like the idea of having healthy hair, like you...even if it's not my favourite colour on earth.  Wink

Welcome to the board!

I also experimented with semi-permanents back in my gothy days.  My hair is black to start with so I had to do a lot of bleaching.  Today I still lighten it, but it looks natural, and I'm loving it.
