The little footprint that is displayed by the size of the shoe tells you if it is a wide or narrow shoe.  The filled in footprint indicates "narrow" which is the common width.  If the little footprint is just an outline, it is a wide width.

Ahhhhhhhhh,(light bulb goes off) after I thought about it I thought you might mean that.  I happen to have both.  I normally wear a wide wide (d),but with Birks,Birkenstocks,Papillos and Footprints I have a whole bunch of different ones.  Go figure!!  So it's kinda like tell me what you're interested in and I can give you colors,width whatever!  Gee,almost like a kid in acandy store!   P.S.  I even have Betula

I may not be off the crutches right away, but my ticker should represent when I can put weight on my foot - getting rid of the crutches shouldn't be far behind that!
