Sakina-

Thanks.  And the piggy braids are great! Grin  I always thought for some reason that one needed to sleep with a french braid.....Now I know the real secret.  Wink  And thanks for the encouragement...I'd hate to have long hair and not be able to do anything with it other than a french braid.

Today in hair news.   Nothing.  I did not shampoo, I did not condition, I did not wet other than steam from my very hot bath this morning.  Just left my hair down all day.   No, that's not true...I think I had a pony for my workout this morning.  I even left it down at the gym this afternoon (wish I had not though, the eliptical I was on was not in front of an air vent!)  I did put it up is sorta a makeshift french twist with my new hair clip for "thick hair" when I came home from the gym just to get the hair of the back of my neck.  I have no idea what it looks like, probably terrible but I really didn't care.  It's 99 here today, I was hot, and had to make dinner for myself to boot!  Not sure what I'll do with it tomorrow....I'll be  4 workouts in with my sweaty head tomorrow....we'll have to see how it behaves.

In life...let's see.  Dieting and exercising are going well.  Hope I can hold out with my twice a day workouts.  But I so sierously need to.  I've never been thin in my whole life and I'd like to be just once before menopause weight gain sets in.  And the way my hormones have been behaving and all the white/grey hair on this 33 year old head---that could be soon! ???

Spouce is still acting wierd.....I'm kinda afraid to ask....not sure I really want to know....not sure why I'm still here.   Anyway.

I've been writing some poetry lately.  I used to write a lot, even wrote a few songs back in the day when I thought I could be a singer....but I reallly haven't written anything since meeting spouce (did he suck all the creative life out of me?  I even stopped singing in my own car when by myself!)  The poetry is rather dark, I guess it matches my mood as of late.

Well, I guess I should get back to my "life".  Gotta fill the dishwasher and fold and put away some laundry and have to get myself ready for work tomorrow.

Hope all is well for everyone here.

Later.

Hullo, Nancy! You've been here for a while and I feel bad for not saying hello to you earlier. Embarrassed  Anyway, it was 99 degrees?! Yech, and I thought 89 degrees was rather hard to deal with.

Sorry to hear about the problems with your husband. I hope he stops acting weird/strange soon.

Sorry things seem so gloomy for you right now.  Maybe it is time for a vacation?  Undecided  A conversation with your spouse seems to be in order as well.  Life is too short to not know why you are in a relationship or to be in one that saps your very being out of you.

Yeah, ditto what BB and Juri wrote.  I realize that we're only cyber family, but we really do care for one another here and you have only to let us know if we can help.   Smiley

To Juri, Trisha, & Bikerbraid--Thanks for all your kind words and encouragement.  I'm sorry you had to "listen" through my B & M session.... Embarrassed  Ya'll are so sweet for not just telling me to stop my bellyaching!  It's nice to be able to "talk" to someone....

Thanks to everyone on this board for being so kind and friendly.  I've visted some other sites and this is by far the best.  (And the best part is that I actually get to post and get responses!)

Not quite so hot here today....maybe somewhere between 89 and 93, and it tried to rain.   That's always so disappointing.  My luck, it will pour tonight and thus, the jungle in the back yard will be too wed for my huband to mow....I've only been asking for 3 months?  If I had any idea how....no nevermind...I won't mow  Tongue.

I did not wash today.  I did spray with some water with just a drop of Jojoba oil to keep it from looking so fly away.  I may have to  wash tomorrow....I've had 5 sweaty workouts since my last washing on Saturday afternoon.  Anyway...not much for styling today, just a mini jaw clip for the top.

Last night I oiled lightly and did the ever famous piggy braids again!  This time they made it though the night to do the morning workout.

I made it again though two workouts today.  I am tired now....Oh well, life goes on.  I've got to keep it up.

Ok, i'ts now after 8 pm and I need to do dishes, fold laundry, put away lanudry, and I'd like to vaccum too....and I've got to go to bed!

Talk to later!

Not a prob! Many of us vent in our journals, so don't feel bad. Smiley

I know what you mean about the members being so nice compared to other sites. I visit one (not hair related) and some of the members are so freakin' rude. Anyway, LL feels like "home", so this is pretty much the only forum that I post at on a regular basis. Isn't it great be a part of such a great internet community? Cheesy

My husband found my caruso seam rollers!!!!  I'm so excited.  They're so old and I was not sure that they'd work but they seem to.  Yay!

Did not do anything with hair today.  Will need to wash tomorrow.

Looks like someone went to every single solitary place on this board just to put a nasty picture.  I'm sure it will be taken care of soon, but not something I ever expected to find here.

Will check in tomorrow.

Nancy - I'm so sorry you had to see the ugly posts.  In the future if you see that again, please PM Sakina and me, and we will take care of it as fast as we can.

Isn't it great when you finally find something that was "lost"?  Now if I could only find my car keys that have been missing for about 2 weeks...... Roll Eyes

Bikerbraid and Sakina-

I'm sorry I didn't PM you when I first encountered the suprise.  I was so shocked and felt somewhat violated.  I didn't know what to do, I did know it would be taken care of by one of you though.   Embarrassed

Ok, in hair news....I washed today!  I conditioned with Suave Humecant, shampooed with Suave humecant and conditioned again.  Let my hair dry and basically did nothing but finger comb it.  I plan to use the steam rollers tomorrow.  I was so glad to have found them and very pleased when I realized the tub was still capabable of producing steam.  I just hope that my hair will be dry enough after my workout to work.  We'll see.

Still working out daily.  Grin  I missed yesterday morning and as a result, I missed this morning because it messed me all up.  Tomorrow is another day.

Dieting is going well.  Life at home is well, pretty much the same.  It's been this way for a while, I don't know why it bothers me more some days than others....

My spouce did get my web cam up and running so I should be able to  take a picture soon....I just don't know how to upload it and where to put it.  I'll have to do some reading to figure it all out.

Ok.....later.

Its OK, Nancy.  This is the second time its happened since I've come on as co-moderator and I was stunned the first time I experienced it.  This second time was also worse than the first.  So, if it happens again (of course we all hope it doesn't!) you'll just let us know!  Thanks.  Grin

Hair-  last night oiled and slept with it down.  Too tired to braid. Sad  This morning I used the Caruso steam rollers.  Had to try  it twice though because the first time the steam was exceptionally wet.  I had put some salt into the water so I replaced the water and it worked out much better the second time.

Worked out twice today and I am tired now.

Not much going on around here really.  Just exceptionally tired.  I'll putz around for a while longer and go to bed.
