Well, at 4:45 this afternoon things are not looking good. I have a greasy mess on my hands (not sure why that is) and my hair is a total mess. The wavy thing would be nice if my hair is longer, but right now, it's still bob length and I look like I never combed it (I've run a comb through it a couple of times today) and I never cleansed it. Ugh - back to square one. I'm pretty sure the messiness is from not blow drying (although I don't want to blow dry anymore though), but the grease - did I over condition? Yuck. Thank goodness the work day ends in, well, now 11 minutes and I can hide my hair under a hat for the rest of the day.

This growing/repairing hair business is not going well... Sad

Today's a better day, but I must confess,  Embarrassed I blew my hair dry. It does look nicer, so maybe my one day off helped, even though I looked like I washed my hair in Crisco by last night.

On a much happier note - my Goth Rosary shampoo and conditioner arrived - scent: Crypt, which I like even more than Mayhem. I can't wait to do a CWC tomorrow morning. And maybe I'll be good and go without the blow-fry...

I have come to the conclusion I am obsessed with my hair. I've modifed the blow-fry routine now, where I blow it dry using the lowest setting possible, which gives me stylized wavies instead of the greasy, unkempt mess I had when I air-dryed. It's looking pretty good, using Goth Rosary's Crypt scented Hair Wash and Conditioner (it really does smell like the stones of a mausoleum - I like it  Wink )

I came to the obsession conclusion because I've hurt my neck. I have a bob that's getting longer, probably around two inches from the bottom of my neck. I have rheumatoid arthritis, so my joints bother me a lot. I've come to the realization that excessive flipping of one's hair apparently bothers one's neck joints  Embarrassed Cheesy Grin Not too smart, but I can't help it - I'm acting like I'm in a hair commercial all the time.

I have a secret...

V05 was 88 cents at my grocery store. I bought Champagne Kiss shampoo and conditioner. My hair has looked and felt fabulous for the last three days I've been using it. I am quietly excited - could it be that I can have beautiful hair with 88 cent shampoo and conditioner? Could it be?!

I go for another hair eval/slight trim on the 29th. Still considering cancelling, though. My hair seems longer - I have to remeasure, though.

Ugh, what a bad day. I am in a lot of pain (I have rheumatoid arthritis and humidity mixed with RA makes for sleepless nights and agonizing days) and had a hard time doing my hair. On the other hand, I'm having a fantastic hair day. My hair is soft, relatively straight (slight wave towards the bottom) and from the last measurement, definitely growing. I haven't updated in a while because growing from a bob into a long, flowing mane of fire takes a while  Grin and there's not too much to report.

So, basically, I posted so I could whine.  Embarrassed

lol Whine away, Eis! We don't mind. It's therapeutic.  Wink

A lot of us here have started or are starting from very short hair, so you're not alone. Everybody gets "whiny" between short & long. It's natural.  Grin

I started from a bob too!  Had the bob for like 10 years.  Ugh, going from shoulder to BSL was the hardest part for me because my hair is so thick that it made me look top heavy (like I had football player shoulders or something.)  So whine away!  We'll understand.  Smiley

Thanks everyone!

OK, I cancelled my appointment. Since my last appointment, my hair has grown a bit, and it's looking and feeling pretty healthy. I decided to continue to let it grow, rather than set myself back.

I haven't done a deep conditioning treatment recently, though. It's been very humid here, so my hair's been a bit oily and I haven't really felt the need.

Just checking in . It's been almost a month since I posted. Hair's still looking decent. I'm much more careful with the blow fryer, when I use it, and my hair is looking better and longer with every passing day.
