Congrats on the early Valentine's day present!   Smiley  Ahh, sewing...I used to enjoy sewing when I had the money for fabric.  Unfortunately it's been quite a while since I've been able to indulge in that hobby.  Have fun!   Wink

thanks!  Tell me about cost of fabric!!!!  I usually get all my fabric on e-bay(1) there's no fabric store near me,except NYC) and (2)it's difficult to get out sometimes.  Even on e-bay between the cost of shipping and/or the cost of the fabric itself, you have to pick and choose your projects carefully otherwise it'll cost a fortune!!! I grew up in fabric stores.  My mother made most of our clothes, until we could make our own.  I started using the sewing machine at 7.  By age 12 I was making all my own clothes.  This made me a very aware of fabric and its makeup.  I would have a very difficult time purchasing fabric without touching it.  It is unfortunate that the influx of cheap, imported clothing has caused the closing of most fabric departments and stores.  I am fortunate to still have a few fabric outlets in my area, but even those have limited fabric for basic clothing.  (Wool for a suit/jacket??!!  Ha!  good luck finding anything like that!)  My sewing machine is used primarily for repairs and non-clothing now.  I miss sitting down to my machine and creating a blouse, or a skirt, or a jacket from a few yards of fabric.

My mom used to make my sister's and my clothes ,too!  I think that's when I was intigued and in awe that a paper pattern, some fabric and a sewing machine would turn out flannel pj's,bathrobes and clothes!!!
I,thank God,have found really good fabric......so far.  I really would like to touch and feel though before I buy.  On my "wish list" is to go to a fabric store and be left alone for a few hours,no interruptions!!!!!

I decided that I needed or my hair needed some serious Ojon!  C had bought jumbo sizes of the  Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment,Shampoo and Conditioner a few weeks ago...........so he offered to let me use it and I jumped all over that offer!!  lol Grin
I took home all the products and deep conditioned over night.  I'll rinse it out this morning, shampoo and condition.  I always like to leave deep conditioners in over night to get real saturation.  My hair loves Ojon so I'm hoping that after the henna and indigo I'll have super soft hair........more after rinsing!
Well, mixed emotions with this deep conditioning session this time.  Yes,my hair is soft, but no where near as curly as usual.  I decided to just single braid it and forget it.  I'll have waves tomorrow from the braid, but I'll put my hair up in a bun with Amish Hair Pins.  I love these pins!!!  Sleeping in them with a satin sleep cap is no problem!  Even just on a satin pillowcase is ok.

Snow,Snow,Snow!!!!!  Finally we got our snow storm!!!  So far it's coming down steady and there's about 4 inches on the ground.  It always looks so pretty, pristine white;until the cars and snow plows make everything a grey slushy mess! Sad Angry
The snow doesn't stay pretty here for long in the city so I'm going to sit by the window alittle longer this morning and enjoy it!

I'm so envious of your snow!  Sad  We have not had much snow since December.  Cold we have had plenty of!  Today it is "warm" - we are in the double digits ABOVE zero!  Whoo hoo!  We may even see some 20's this weekend.  Heat wave!  All of the storms have gone well south of us.  So, enjoy your snow while you have it.  I will think of you by your window watching the pretty flakes collect and create that lovely white blanket.

(By the way - don't you owe us a picture of you in a certain jersey??? Grin )

Yeah, I didn't realize how young you looked (are) either.  Because of the long dark hair, in my head I always pictured you as looking like Cher.  I always thought Cher was pretty, but you're much younger.  It's so nice to be able to put a face with a name. Smiley
