Wash Day

Wash Day was yesterday. With a C-COW-C and added MM when wet before ABS and SEM and then again dry. I think the only thing missing is the shampoo to go with my moisturizing conditioner. Adding that I think will help close the gap. Because my hair's a bit dry, not oppressively so like it was prior to the new conditioner and MM. Will have to see if I can get some this weekend. Which yes I realize is Valentine's Day.  Tongue Nothing says love like celebrating the martyrdom of a saint.  Huh Roll Eyes

Today it's in the low 60's, sunny, and with a lovely breeze.  Cool Tomorrow will be in the low 40's with 30mph winds and snow flurries... and yet equally nice.  Grin However they do say there is a potential for some thunderstorms tonight as the cold front comes through.  Tongue Me no likey thunderstorms.  Tongue

There are tornado threats?? I was not aware this happened in your area. Huh

And I dunno what you're talking about. Roses, glittery hearts and sugar comas rock my socks. Cool Grin

Yes, occasionally we can wind up under a tornado watch.  Tongue No where near as certain as in the Mid West but the closest one was a mile South of my house... which was too f'in close in my opinion.  Shocked

I like a good sugar coma as much as the next gal.  Cheesy However I don't really care for flowers, they always die too fast.  Cry And glittery hearts can have their place. But it's jewelery and chocolate for me.  Roll Eyes

Alright yesterday was supposed to be a T-C-COW-C. But I skipped the treatment due to laziness. Hair is no worse off.  Huh Must mean hair hates said treatment.  Roll Eyes Leave ins were MM, ABS, SEM. And MM and BBAB today.

Today I discovered a hairstyle that makes my hair look like an attachment. It's hilarious.  Cheesy I put it a highish ponytail, then took a small section braided it and wrapped it around the holder. Then braided the length. It totally looked like I had fake hair on.  Grin I'm going to love this the longer it gets.  Roll Eyes Grin Wink

Finally got my moisturizing shampoo so we'll see if it seals the deal.

Nails are finally a disaster.  Tongue The polish started chipping Wednesday. Which was surprisingly longer than I figured it would make it.  Cool

Egad, no kidding. Shocked We had a fire come closer than that once.

That works too, hunnay. Cool And not the least bit commercial. Roll Eyes

Well I figure, when it gets longer, someone will probably ask where'd I find an attachment that long, and then I can freak them out by saying it's my natural hair.  Cheesy I'm a crazy sadist what can I say.  Cheesy Grin Roll Eyes

Tongue I don't have the enthusiasm.  Roll Eyes

So hair was in a flipped ponytail today, accented with my rhinestone accented heart barrette. Until my hair slipped out from a part of it or something.  Huh Well when I tried to fix it my hair nearly got tangled in the elastic.  Shocked Angry Tongue After combing out the mess. I just stuffed it up under a XL jaw clip.  Angry *sigh* Then my makeup was wrong. My lipstick looked dreadful, so I had to start over, and I couldn't think of an eyeshadow for the life of me. Eventually settled on a very nice reddish pink gloss and medium gray shadow. Whoopee for stress.  Roll Eyes Tongue

Wash Day, Hair Revolution?

So yesterday as I was preparing my "shampoo cocktail" for my C-COW-C it hit me again. My hair has become high maintenance!  Shocked I've mentioned it before. But I was standing there and thinking I'm making "shampoo cocktails" doing C-COW-C's, deep treatments, vinegar rinses... who's hair is this?  Shocked So most will say I've gone bananas but I've decided to resort back to the old measures that worked perfectly well on my hair making it much the same as it is now with a lot less effort. So for yesterday's wash day all I did was wash and condition with my moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. No leave ins. And be prepared to faint... I used my plastic cushion brush to detangle my dry hair today. ... And I would like to add that I heard less breakage using that brush then my usual comb.  Huh  Cool I smoothed it with my BB and it's just as soft and shiny as ever.  Roll Eyes So yes looks like my low maintenance hair is back!  Cool I've only been unconventional at best. I mean growing long hair is pretty unconventional these days, so why should my long hair behaviors be conventional?  Cheesy Roll Eyes Say what you want, my hair does seem to give an f*** one way or the other.  Grin

Tis snowing today.  Cool Ain't sticking but it's still pretty to watch. Although I dread the high winds tomorrow.  Tongue

Grin I so love the way you put things.

You'll probably find out through this spectacular long hair journey that many of the "rules" of caring for it are utter nonsense. Brushes, cones and colour can be used; and for heaven's sake, hair can be washed! So long as your products and practices are safe and low impact, you can pretty much do whatever you want. Naysayers be darned - let them worry about their own hair. Wink

*hugs* And enjoy your snow, my love.

Mfffttt  Tongue

Windy and f'in cold today. Tongue  But hey it's supposed to snow on Sunday.  Cool Wore hair in a dutch braid under my hat. Got told that my hat was cute and that I looked cute in it.  Smiley $10 well spent then.  Grin So besides freezing my "assets" off wash day has been postponed to tomorrow. Hair is becoming even silkier with a lack of dry brushing.  Huh Go figure.  Roll Eyes Oh and an old lady called me Mme.  Huh WTF! I look that old?!?  Shocked Needless to say it bugged me for a bit.  Roll Eyes

Oh, I'd rather be called Madame than Miss. And I insist upon the "Ms." prefix when appropriate. It's flattering that people think I'm so young, but I'll usually end up telling them, "I didn't spend four years in hell to be called 'Miss.'" Wink

That's me, I hate Miss to me it implies frilly tendencies which I have no desire to possess.  Roll Eyes Grin

So yesterday wash day. Another low maintenance wash day.  Cool Wash and condition, comb, air dry done.  *contented sigh* Wore hair in a braid with one section of the braid braided then woven into a braid accented with my butterfly barrette.

Snow was a pathetic dusting.  Tongue Which turned into cold rain. *sigh* It's probably the end of the snow season out this way.  Cry Tomorrow will be cold with more high winds.  Angry Rain is expected on Friday. Oh well I guess it's time to get in my cold/raw/rainy mood.  Wink
