Dear Hair Diary,

We got to go to the Ex yesterday! We saw the air show, which was very cool!  Here's a pic of me at the temple bell Japan gave Canada years ago.
...  We went to a petting zoo they have there as well as the Midway were Don won me a Hello Kitty stuffy!!!  There was ton of food and things to do.  We were dead pooped at the end of the day. But we had a great time Smiley  I had never been to the Ex in all my 21 years in Canada so it was hightime!

Cheesy

Dear Hair Diary,

Hairs doing good - 4 days and still fresh.  I will wash it tomorrow and give myself a facial.  I need it! lol!

We went to a BBQ lastnight and got chewed by mosquitos!  I need to soak in an Aveena bath. Tongue

Don's niece will be born via C-section tomorrow at 9 am.  Were all so excited Cheesy  Looks like I have alot of knitting to do. Smiley I do not mind, I am with the oldest brother and people expect the "old Lady" to do some knitting! lol!  In one week we get to see the new little darling.

Chris (Don's son) mother lost her battle with cancer the other day, she was 42.  Poor thing is so upset.  As for the funreal - Don is not allowed to attend, nor is anyone from Don's family.  ---some people.. Angry

Anyway I am off

Dear Hair Diary,

Ever since I had my meds upped I've been having alot of headaches. Tongue  Slept alot yesterday as I did not feel so great.

Don's neice was born with no problems, her name is Mickey Rose.  Don and Lindsays sister are the god parents.  Don thinks, for some strange reason, that I am to stand with him at her christening.  Correct me if I am wrong but I am not the godmother so I stay in the pews, right?  I mean I did that when my two neices were christened.  After he said it for the 100th time I retorted with look I am just a girlfriend not a your wife - thunderhead!  Angry

Anyway I am off to watch Wok with Yan.

That's great, congratulations!  I think as far as the christening goes, I think it should be up to the parents of the baby.  If they want you to be up there with Don, who cares what tradition says (assuming you are ok with it as well)?  But it should be up to them, and Don should make sure what their wishes are.  Just my humble opinion.  Smiley

Dear Hair Diary,

Washed today with the indian herbs.  My hair really likes it and so do I wash less and like the chemical free feel.

Made an awesome pesto tonight using my basil plant.  I wonder if I can get another haul from it before it gets to cold and the plant dies.  I am slowly getting use to my medication change, at least the headaches have stopped.  Oh!  I got a betta fish!  He is a crown tail betta and is such a little clown! Always beging for food! Cheesy  He is red and blue and loves to sleep in the fake plant I got him.

One of Don`s co-workers received a 50lb bag of potates from someone!  So were getting some.  Woot potato soup! lol!!

Anyway I am off!

We just got fresh onions and some other stuff.  Sure you can buy it fresh but it's not the same as growing or being fortunate enough to know generous people.  Glad you're not suffering with headaches.

Thanks Drear ...  I love getting freah veggies.  When I had an outdoor garden I had plum tomatoes, chilies plus a lot of herbs.  Over the years I have tried to grow different things.  I grew Zuchini just for the flowers which are delicious!!  I found some wild onions and placed them in the garden as well.  Things like lettuce did not survive between the rabbits and the deer.  I use to get free fresh duck and geniue fowl eggs!  Yummy Smiley

Dear Hair Diary,

Got a couple of busy days coming up this week.  Aunt Lynn has her Eastern star thing were going to and then the whole family is going up to see Mickey Rose.  I just might get one day with Don out of the four days he has off.... Undecided

It's going to be a joke going to see the baby...Lances apts is so small. Its going to be tight squeeze with the whole bunch there.  Me I hate crowds so I will be on the back deck.   Plus were expecting a fight between Lance and Allen.  Lynds has been being a real cow lately. Angry  I gave her some bottle feeding advice, of which she asked for of the ladies in the family on Facebook and she said her ususal "you never had a baby, what do you know" speech. Cry Angry  She is very lucky Don did not see the email cause when I told him he hit the roof large!  Mind Don has a neat nickname for her of which is a little too salty for this page Grin

Hopefully I get to hold little Mickey Rose.
