Yesterday afternoon when I took the two youngest to the hairdresser (took the oldest in the evening) I saw one lady with waste length, blonde hair, 30s-40s, parked outside the bakery. This is unusually long hair for anyone over 30 in this area. Sure I see many with just below shoulder length and a few with BSL length but nothing this long! Then when I walked into the salon a 40s-50s woman with grey/brown WL hair was paying and leaving. When I looked over where she'd just sat, I didn't see anything longer than the snips I usually have trimmed off.
There are different assistants in the salon and some are better than others but they always respect what "type" a person is and what they want. One of them did however once tell a young mother that a crop was a very poor choice when you have small children because it does require more styling and a "healhty" budget to tame it on a daily basis. I liked that hairdresser's honesty.
I also like that they didn't talk that mature woman into shorter, layered hair. I like a bit of layering at the bottom on myself these days but on most people I don't think it does anything to flatter their hair or face. Sorry if I offended anyone there. I'm sure you all know what suits you best.
I overheard them talk one woman out of a new dye job because the last one had been too recent and she'd had it done too often some where else. I like that they care about the condition of the customers hair.
Anyway, I was just so excited when I saw those two women with WL hair, in one day, in one parking lot, within minutes of each other!
