Hair: Clarified today with Herbal Essences Drama Clean shampoo and an ACV rinse. When a little of the former ran into my eye, I was painfully reminded of just how harsh Herbal Essences is. Despite their "organic" claims, the formulas are brutally chemical. Henceforth, I might not even use them on my car, let alone my hair! Tongue

Anyway, today's only leave-in was Pantene Detangling spray. Style is the usual braid. My hair dried quickly, as it typically does on clarifying days, and felt light and clean.
Been thinking about wearing my hair down more often, but I'll have to do some major S&D work first.

Weather: Our May gray/June gloom has subsided for now and the sun/dry heat has returned. Tongue Summer will be here in no time...which is mostly depressing, but Michaels has already begun filtering in the first of their fall merchandise.

Music: Practice tonight.

Etc.: More gum swelling, ugh! I need surgery. Sad
And after a long hiatus, I finally walked last night. Not a power walk by any means...more like a leisurely stroll since I wasn't really feeling up to it. The important thing was that I did it despite not wanting to. I just kept telling myself that it was ok to go slow and it was ok if I looked fat because right now, I am.

Sorry you're not feeling well.  Hope the exercise helps.  I have to admit that I haven't worked out in so long, it's embarassing.  However, I am losing weight as I always do in the summer.  Comfort foods lose their attraction when summer gets here.  I also fast one day a week which helps a lot.  Then again, summer is here and it is cloudy and damp, which is depressing, another reason that I don't eat.

As for earrings, I have never worn heavy earrings--they hurt!  And I avoid large earrings that would swing, like chandeliers, even if they are lightweight.

I'm sorry you're feeling unwell.  I can't advice you on your health but I feel about walking the way some feel about jogging.

As for earrings - Uhmmm...what is that medical brand called??? They used to run a lot of ads here in Denmark because I think the company is Danish.   I'll look for it and see if they have retailers in the U.S. near you.  The styles are limited but it's a start.  I know you don't like french hooks but they've begun to sell some that enables you to hang your old earrings off them.  That may be a sollution for some.  I don't know how I could wear those heavy oversized earrings in the 80s.  I hate earrings I can feel now.  I have some simple danglers but they're very light weight and I only buy small cute ones with posts now.

Heavy necklaces may look gorgeous but my neck can't handle them.  Gives me a headache.  Makes no sense to anyone else but because I have such an issue with necklaces I can understand yours with earrings even if it's not a "problem" I share.

I'm looking at those photos and thinking I'm going to have to learn to play something because I'm set to inherit a pedal steel guitar and four banjos some day.

My only comfort food is chocolate. Grin
Fasting is not healthy, as any professional will tell you. It slows down your metabolism and deprives your body of nutrients. Really not a smart practice.
But I do envy your weather. It's bright, sunny and 80° here, which to me is miserable. So I'd gladly trade. Roll Eyes

Drear: Thanx for the concern, babe, but my ears do not have "special needs." Grin They just won't tolerate the cheap metals that most fashion jewelry is made of. Anyone with any sort of piercing knows what I mean.
Sweet deal on the inheritance. Don't suppose you'd like to add a bass to your collection... Grin Just kidding. Wink My paternal grandmother used to play Hawaiian steel.

Hair: CWC + Detangling spray. I've decided to retire my Pantene Full & Thick bottles (at least for awhile) in favor of lower-profile burgundy/black S&C bottles. Smiley And I'll probably go back to mixing leave-in conditioning sprays as my hair has developed a curious habit of sticking together with the current one. Huh
I'll either use Suave Kids or the EQyss avocado mist that my mother & sister love.
As photos indicate, I'm in dire need of a trim.

Weather: A co-worker and I were just discussing its queer patterns today. One minute, it's thunder and lightning, the next, it's hot and sunny. ... The former, he said, reminded him of the weather back home in Detroit.

Work: God, do I need a new job. There's no more opportunity in the one I have. My boss is here today and that always makes me nervous. I cannot continue to smile and act cordially toward someone who has insulted me. Nor can I continue to work in an unhealthy environment while my financial needs are not  being met. Change is long overdue.
Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot out there at the moment.

Other Stuff: [More whining about my gums omitted since there's no point. They're going to torture me for at least a month and no one needs to hear about it.]

Fisher2: You wish, don'tcha? Wink

Hair: Friday WTC. My hair seemed to need a conditioning boost, especially at the ends. It needs a trim even more, but I'm holding out for another month.
Leave-in's were Detangling spray on the length, EVOO on the ends. Still trying to get rid of the latter ASAP, though I still occasionally consider getting a bottle of ELOO...just for experimentation. Roll Eyes
Style for the day will be the usual "Hop Sing" braid once my break person arrives. Simple and casual. Tongue

Etc.: Last night was entirely consumed by my cousin's excessively long and excessively religious 8th grade graduation ceremony/dinner. Oy vey. Tongue But the boy did make a special point to thank his "cousins" during his speech (because I happened to be sitting in the front row, no doubt) and it was good to see everyone.
We'll be getting together again on Sunday for my other cousins' skating show. I'm sure I've mentioned that two of my female cousins are figure skaters. The eldest will be touring with Disney On Ice later this year.

The weather has resumed its bi-polar habits. Cloudy one moment, sunny the next. Roll Eyes We've been advised against expecting to see the sun for a week, but I've already seen more of it today than I'd care to.
What we need is actual rain.

Yes, it's been a few days. Angel's been quite the busy little bee.

Yesterday, we had our carpets cleaned, so begins the process of cleaning everything in my room...again. Roll Eyes It needs it. I suppose I can admit to being a bit of a neat freak, but it certainly beats the alternative!
Tonight, I aim to take care of my dresser. It's a big project.

That, of course, means I won't be going to practice tonight. In truth, my early days at work have been switched to Wednesdays, so I can no longer commit to late night Tuesday practices. Sad At least not on a regular basis.

That will also mean having one more weeknight to power walk. Last night, I went for a long one - 40 minutes - because I hadn't been out in awhile. Weight is beginning to creep back down.

In hair news, I did a heavy, overnight EVOO treatment last night before clarifying this morning. Today's only leave-in was Pantene Detangling spray. I'll do a single "Hop Sing" braid when I get my break, yada yada. Honestly, there really isn't anything exciting going on in that department. I have my routine down to a science and don't deviate from it too often, so there really isn't much to report. I'm just sort of going through the motions until my trim in July.

The swelling in my gums has gone away thanks to my former dental assistant mother. Smiley The bug bites on my hand/arm have cleared away, but not without some scarring. Undecided And my nails are now a sinister shade of...maroon, I guess. It's actually a combo of a brownish purple with a black base.

As for everything else, meh. Money has been...well, it hasn't been, which happens all too often for the poor suckaz (like myself) trapped in part time jobs. You can't get by on what you make, but you also can't move on because there's practically nothing else out there.
Friday is payday...I wish that was any sort of consolation.

Anywho, that's the latest. Have a great day, my pretties.

I'm glad things that have been causing physical discomfort are going away.  I can't provide any comfort or sollutions for your financial situation.  For a short while, Yves Rocher had a small black based dark green.  I wasn't fast enough. Sad

Eh, you may be better off. The week of St. Patrick's Day, I experimented with a black-based green and it came out looking like an emerald euphoria beetle. Tongue Needless to say, I couldn't wait to get it off of my nails!

Perhaps, but it really couldn't be any worse than my sister's was. Dear God, it always looked like Chernobyl in there!
I went to painstaking lengths sometimes to keep mine clean...my sis just stuck a biohazard sign on her door. Grin

22 and jobless? Shocked I may need a cup of chamomile tea to recover from that one...

Hair: CWC for the past 2 days. Leave-in's were Pantene Detangling spray and EVOO...the latter of which is more than half gone, finally.

Experimented with a coffee rinse on the length and ends for the first time after my shower this morning. Not really my thing. Undecided
It did make my hair smell nice - I couldn't stop smelling it, in fact. And after it dried, I kept comparing the ends to the top of my head, wondering if they were any darker after just one rinse. Roll Eyes
At first, I had intended to try this for awhile to see if I ever noticed a difference or if I simply wash my hair too often for it to work. It sounded like more daily maintenance anyway, which I certainly didn't need. But I filled another glass with leftover coffee this morning and left it in my room to sit until tomorrow morning, when I could use it again.
When I got home from work, my room smelled like arse ...booty ...nothin' good! And I knew it was the stench of old coffee. Tongue That was the end of it for me and the glass was quickly dumped.
If ever I feel the need to darken the ends of my hair, I suppose I'll just use diluted dye.

Other Stuff: Well, I have laundry to put away and my sister's dog to entertain, so I'm off. Roll Eyes

Yeah well I've got a couple more facts along the lines of that. You'd need chocolate to deal with them. LOL  Roll Eyes I've never had a job in my life...not unless you count the business we ran in Entrepreneurship in junior year, I was paid, albeit it only came out to 35 cents an hour.  Roll Eyes Grin I however have finally nailed down what I want to do specifically. How lucrative I can make it will be tested shortly.  Wink

Trisha: I guess you're right. Particularly in small bedrooms that stay closed up all day. Tongue Thankfully, I bagged the coffee rinse idea.

Tanai: Egad. Verrrrry different lifestyles there, obviously. Shocked But I'll save the rant about financial independence and responsibility...if your parents don't teach you these things, the world will.

Hair: CWC both today and yesterday. Today's leave-in's were Suave Kids detangling spray and EVOO, and the style is a flipped ponytail. Yesterday's leave-in's were Pantene Detangling spray and EVOO, and the style was a single braid.

Been collecting groovy bottles to put hair & body products in. I'll get pix when they're all ready, but it will be awhile.

Other Stuff: Did anyone else download the spectacular disaster that is Explorer 8? If you haven't yet, don't bother. If it's too late, then you already know what I mean and are likely as frustrated as I am, trying to override the bug-ridden piece of fail. Tongue

Now I must cut things short. My sister's ex is over, visiting my parents, and he looooves to talk. So rather than droning on in distracted sentence fragments, I'll try and save what's left of my dignity. Wink

'Til next time, loves.
