I just wanted to write to tell you how it worked out (the conditioner braid thing)... it was fantastic! My hair is super soft now, and I just rinsed the conditioner out after swimming!  Grin

Here is the information on shower head filters:

homedepot.com

Home depot is much more economical if you live in their distribution area.

It really makes a difference in the water, if like me you can't afford to do a filtration system for the whole house.

I have another question about the condtioner braid thing. Do you condition your scalp or just the length of your hair?

Condition just from the ears down.  If you condition at the scalp too much, your hair will look greasy very quickly.

Oh ok - that's what I thought. At first I put conditioner on my scalp and couldn't wash it out properly, but for the first day it made my hair curl up and gave it the "wet look"  Tongue! But the second day it started to look greasy and disgusting so I washed it out and put rollers in (curly one day, straight the next  Grin)
