Just when I thought I was doing better coping with Agatha's death, I read all of the beautiful things everyone said and I get all teary again.  Everyone has been so supportive; I really appreciate it.

Hair:  lace braid with rose bun and my blue and white porcelain kitty bead hairsticks.  I've had to redo it 3 times.  My hair must be in a transition stage at the moment because I can't do jack $#!^ with it.   Tongue

Bogie is harrassing Gorey again.  Gorey's skin is worse, and I've noticed that the first thing he does when I get home is to go the litterbox.  I think Bogie's keeping him from it during the day.   Angry  Fuzzy stripey butthole.  I'm going after work and getting yet another litter box and I'll put it upstairs in the guest bathroom.  It's not as gross as it sounds.  The guest bathroom has a short, narrow, space-wasting hallway leading into the craft room, so it's a good place to put the box.  Better than my bedroom anyway.   8)  Now there will be food, water, litter, toys, and flannel sheets upstairs for Gorey if Bogie continues to be a jerk.   Undecided

BPAL:  Got a big order in today.   Kiss  So far I've tried Dragon's Bone (The dry, thin scent of a draconic ossuary. Dragon's blood resin with white sandalwood, dusty orris and crisp blondewood. Ha!  Wasn't what you thought it would be, was it?   8))  I ordered imps of all of the Ars Draconis scents because dragon's blood is the one note that my skin always loves.  The blend itself might not work, but boy oh boy, that dragon's blood.   Kiss  Anyway:  first it's sweet sandalwood; by drydown it's a dry, sandalwoody scent, slightly spicy.  I like it so far, but I'll have to see how the second wearing goes.

Also tried, for the first wearing, Berenice (Stargazer lily, white musk, clear aloe, blonde amber and winding-cloth linen)  Light and pale, I've had various people tell me that it smells like soap, or detergent, or drier sheets.  It doesn't really, but it smells so clean I can understand why they say so.  I smell like I've been washed and dried and hung outside during a summer morning to air out.  It's similar to Dirty but more complex.  I like it.

Two hits so far!

Yesterday I got a reminder card in the mail from my vet.  Agatha is due for her shots.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, so I chose laugh.   Roll Eyes  I have to take Gorey and his oozy back to the vet tomorrow and I"ll have them take Agatha out of the system.   Undecided

I finally managed to moisturize my canopy without over-conditioning the rest of my hair...and now my hair will NOT STAY UP!  All week I've had to do and re-do my updo.  ("No guh-news is good guh-news with Gary Guh-nus."  Hee hee!  Sorry.  Stupid childhood TV show flashback.)  It's really starting to frustrate me.   While I'm more willing to wear my hair down now, the damaged ends still tangle badly when I do.  Plus I still love my hairtoys and I have 3 pairs of LL sticks coming!  AAAARRRGGGHHH!  There has to be some way to balance this!!   Angry

BPAL:  Dragon's Bone, second wearing.  Very, very nice indeed.  Dry and somewhat spicy, and I like it a lot.

I tried Dragon's Musk (Dominant, passionate, devastating. Dragon’s blood and five deep musks) which I also liked alot, and the musk didn't overpower me or turn cheap-smelling as it is wont to do.  I put some on my forearm, which is dry and tends to suck up my BPAL scents, and it was still there in the morning.  Very promising first wearing.

I also tried Black Pearl (Coconut, Florentine iris, hazelnut and opalescent white musk).  Very pretty and coconutty; however, I have Elegba for coconut and I don't think I need another coconut scent.

Took Gorey to the vet Saturday for his crusty, oozy skin.  I wrestled him into the new carrier and he MEROWED AND MEROWED AND MEROWED AND MEROWED..... Roll Eyes  He's only about 75% of Bogie's size but he weighs nearly as much.  He's a very solid tom and boy howdy can he make a ruckus if he wants.

His appt was at 11, so we went to the PO first.  I got out of the car and reveled in the relative silence of the never-ending PO line.  When I opened the car door, everything was silent...till Gorey looked up at me with those adorable round green eyes and MEROW...MEROW...MEROW...MEROW...  Why waste your breath if you can't annoy the Mom Cat, right?   8)

He hollered the whole time we were waiting at the vet.  I know the other people were annoyed, but he's a cat, you know?  There isn't anything you can do with cat, short of heavy duty sedation or a kitty muzzle, and I'd not care to sleep in a house with a cat I'd put a kitty muzzle on.  Anyway, Gorey's allergic to fleas and the vet gave him a depo-medrol shot.  He slept the rest of the afternoon and woke up around 9 pm all full of himself.

I didn't get much sleep Saturday night.   Wink

My LL sticks came in!  I got the Inner Glow Labradorite Gemstix which are dark grey rather than black and perfectly match my charcoal grey fleece set (skirt, tunic, button shirt and pants); the Rock Candy Candy Jade Gemstix, which are GORGEOUS--the stones remind me of little pears with their seafoam green and pinky-peach blush, or maybe the poisoned apple the wicked queen gave Snow White in the original story.   Cheesy  I have many, many green shirts, but none in that shade of seafoam green.  I"m wearing them today anyway, with a pink flowered shirt.  The flowers have leaves.  The leaves are green.  They match.  Leave me alone.   Wink  Last, I got the Gilded Vitrail Rapunzelstix.  The stones fascinate me, all grey and pink and green and shiny.  Once again, I don't have anything specific to go with them, but denim goes with everything.   Kiss

BPAL:  Alice (Milk and honey with rose, carnation and bergamot)  One of my favorites; I finally got a big bottle.  While this smells very rosey in the bottle, on my skin it turns into a warm slightly spicy carnation scent.  Mmmmm.  The bergamot is coming out a little now at the end of the day.  Yum, yum, yummy.

Tomorrow is Peony Moon.  I'm also ordering a bottle of Cobra Lily.  I love Cobra Lily.

The BPAL forum is down, too.  I can get to the main page but I get an error message when I try to access the posts.  I hope it's up again soon; I cleaned out my bottles and imps and I'm raring to swap.

There is NO lunacy update on the BPAL website.  Angry I've checked back over and over again, and the forum is down so I can't see if it's everyone, or if it's been delayed or if it's just me.  Grrrrr....

The bats in the ceiling woke up last night and had a big ol' brouhaha.  I like bats, but if they're going to party at 3 am then we need to have a talk.   Tongue

Tried a french tuck with one of my new Flexi-8's, but a french tuck is never comfortable on me.  The Flexi-8 holds well, but the bottom of the tuck keeps bonking me in the back of the neck and by noon it looks all frayed.  I finally took the whole thing down and twisted the braid and pinned it up for an ersatz french twist look.

BPAL:  Bengal (skin musk with honey, peppers, clove, cinnamon bark and ginger)  So far this is the only BPAL honey blend that doesn't go nasty on my skin.  It smells like spices stirred into warm honey and at the end of the day there's a sweet, musky scent right next to my skin.  I really like this.

I've always classified denim as a neutral - like white, black and cream.  Grin

Ear-to-ear lace braid with rose bun.  My hair has suddenly decided to be puffy so my buns are larger than standard lately.  As long as they stay up I don't care what they do.   8)

Mom and Dad are coming up this weekend; tomorrow is my cleaning lady's usual day but she's taking this week off.  I have left strict instructions with Mom (I don't have to with Dad; all he ever notices is whether the lights have been left on a milisecond longer than needed.  He's quite anal retentive about it.  It comes from his mother; Grandma had 25 watt bulbs in all of her lights because it was cheaper.  Her house was like a murky cave after dark.   Roll Eyes  Dad takes unholy enjoyment in turning on all of the lights at my house when he visits.  Onery.   Grin):  no comments.  No mentioning the wads of Gorey hair.  No tightening of the lips.  NO STRAIGHTENING OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER!!!!!  Back when Agatha was still with me,  Embarrassed Mom and Dad came up and I let them sleep in my bed.  I cleaned up the bedroom and it took me all evening, too, I might add.  Mom spent 30 minutes tidying up because, "I just can't sleep in a messy room."   Angry  I couldn't find my bandannas for a week.  Sigh.

Last night the 3 heathens were sleeping on my bed, arranged in a triangle, each about 6 inches away from the others.  Then they woke up and Bogie and Gorey smacked each other for a while and things were back to normal.

BPAL:  I couldn't get the shop to update!  There's some sort of problem; this month's lunacy was supposed to be up on the 14th but it wasn't until the 15th and even then it took me all evening to get it updated.  Then I tried to order a 5ml of Cobra Lily but I got an error message.  So I ordered a 10 ml.   Grin  Two of the new GC scents have shea scent in them, so I had to get imps.   I have to admit I'm curious.

Five or six years ago I ordered some little china mugs from I believe Stash tea (icky tea, nice accessories).  They had kittens on them (of course) and I bought them mainly because one had a little grey tabby kitten on a purple mug.  Bogie was an only cat at the time and looked a lot like the mug.

Of the remaining mugs, one had a thin-faced little black kitten peering out of a teacup.  Within the next year I would have Rumpole, a sleek black tom with high cheekbones, though he couldn't fit into a teacup if his life depended on it.   Wink

The last cup...the last cup showed a fluffy black kitten peeping out of a milk jug (Or milch jug.  I think they're from Germany.).  Now I have Gorey, a fluffy black tom who might fit into a milk jug if it's large enough.

Coincidence?  Read the book.

Hair:  chopstick bun made with dark green chopsticks with little bright green frog faces on them.  I don't think my hairwash went well last night.  My hair was a bit sectioned this morning and it feels heavy.  My CV bar is almost gone.  I need to get out a new one.

Gorey was being mean to Bogie last night.  I have given up deciding who's doing what to whom and will from now on assume that they're all guilty.  Rumpole is less guilty than the others, but he's guilty nonetheless.

This morning Gorey jumped up on the TV tray while I was putting on my makeup.  Again.  He lay down, stuck his head over the side of the tray, put it in my hand, and went to sleep.  Now even if he pretended not to know I was going to work, did he really think that I was going to sit on the toilet with his head in my hand until he was ready to wake up?  Evidently so, according to the evil look I got when I dumped him off of the tray.    Roll Eyes

BPAL:  The Tell-Tale Heart (blood musk, cocoa, black pepper, allspice, dragon’s blood resin and vetiver)  First wearing--nasty, nasty, nasty, slightly less nasty, a bit sweet, sweeter, quite nice.

Second wearing--dark and sweet, I can't pick out any particular notes until mid-morning when the COCOA comes to the forefront.  Dark, rich, not sweet at all cocoa.  Droooooollll......  I could listen to the beating of his hideous heart all day if it smelled like this.   8)

I'll yell at the cats and they all give me a "How cute!  She's pretending like she's in charge!"  look, then they snicker into their whiskers.   Roll Eyes

Gorey's not speaking to me.  He kept trying to jump up on my makeup tray this morning but I blocked him; then he finally evaded me and I threw him off.  Then I accidentally stepped on his tail when I was giving him his treats this morning.    Roll Eyes  I hate it, but he has to learn that sometimes we don't bother the Cat Mom no matter if it has been 15 whole minutes since we were last petted and we'll die a horrible lingering death from neglect if we are not loved on right now.

Mom and Dad came up this weekend.  Gorey's not sure about Dad, but he's not used to men.  All the humans in his fuzzy little life are women (me, the vet, all of the assistants, the cat sitter, the cleaning lady) but he likes Mom, all right.   Wink  Mom and I were sitting on either end of the couch and Gorey'd let me pet him, then he'd get bored with me, run over to Mom, get petted, run back to me....he was in kitty heaven.   Of course now, the evil Cat Mom has thrust him down into Kitty He11.  Oh yeah.  I'm bad.   Grin

Guess what I got for my birthday...a video iPod!  Woohoo!  My brother got me a car kit so now I can travel without stacks of cds--I can just take my little iPod and plug 'er in.  It's just going to take a while to transfer everything which will be done completely legally in accordance with local, state, federal, international, and intergalactic laws.   Grin  Ditto the movies.   Grin Grin Grin

It was in the 70's here last week and it's supposed to snow 3 inches tonight.  That's nothing compared to what BB got, but I hate snow.  Hate hate hate hate hate.  Gorey, however, likes to sit at the patio doors when it snows.  He sticks his little pink tongue out at the weather and laughs and laughs.  Then Bogie wanders by and smacks his head.  Then Gorey smacks Bogie's head.  Then they growl at each other, break it off, and come over to me and demand lunchmeat.  Life is becoming more difficult by the day.   8)

Your birthday is very Special
I wish you many, many more
Hopefully, each one is better
Than all those birthday's before.

Enjoy your favorite ice cream
Enjoy your favorite cake too
It is a great pleasure for me
To say "Happy Birthday" to you.

I'm wishing you much happiness
To last all the year through
There is Someone very Special
That Someone Special is YOU!

Please have a great birthday
Know I'll be thinking of you
Want to make your day complete
