Dear Hair Diary,

Went shopping at SDM last night.  I needed more Lise Waiter face powder, managed to dodge the cosmetics lady (huh, they were never as fast with customers as I was).  I got some more flowered hair clips and some Shea butter.  I had seen Anais's recipe and thought I want to try this!  I got the yellow unrefined shea.  I thought man this is greasy then I put some on my skin and was delighted that it just soaked in!  My hair is acting strange, I think I used to much jojoba last time....  My budgie is on my shoulder right now and he singing so softy to me and nibbling my ear, he's so cute.  His name is Scoot, he's a soft blue and white.  Well its off to breakfast!

bye for now 8)

Dear Hair Diary,

Well, my cold is almost gone! Got to wash my hair last night and it's sooo happy!  The beer rinse I used was great (mind, my neigbor who I borrowed the bottle from, was a bit confused on why I did not drink it!)  I had been putting Jojoba oil on the ends every night and there have tamed down pretty good since they still have dregs of black hair color on them.  I know I have to get a cut eventually but I dread it!   Just the thought of the hair dresser makes me cringe!  Anyway got my anniversay present yesterday, two lovely Kimono from Japan.  I have them on poles airing out in the bedroom.  I'm happy that I'm better as were going out on Saturday.  Must find new Japanese resturant as my old one, Taka, closed down suddenly.

Bye for now!  8)

Thanks Cynde!  I'll be getting the obi's and Himo etc. soon.  Then I can wear them!  The purple one is more of a summer weight but the red is a winter weight.  We are finally getting a Dig camera so once I have everything there will be pictures! 8) 8) 8)

Dear Hair Dairy,

We had such a down pour today!  The thunder and lighting were wild!  At about 3:00 it went as dark as midnight and then it began to pour!  I thought what the heck, put on a bikini and washed my hair in the rain!  Damn that water was cold!  My hair felt a little dry afterwards but some jojoba oil helped that.  Tomorrow is the big 17 for Colin and I.  We'll probably go to Nikko in Oakville for dinner.  I really spoiled hubby when he got home.  Today at work he had a fall and skinned his right elbow and knee!  My poor baby!  So I put him in a bath with sea salt , massaged him then put burdock leaves on his sore joints.  He's resting now and is feeling better.  He's a very tall guy and well, he's got longer to fall them most.  Not to worry tomorrow he's getting even more treats!  Roll Eyes
I can't think of what to wear to dinner ???  I am going to put my hair up in a Japanese style with sticks and flowers, but what to wear?  I cannot were my kimono as I don't have the obi's yet.  I'll think of something!

Bye for now Wink

Sorry hubby's gotten injured.  Glad you know how to take care of him.  My hubby gets the same kind of treatment from me.

Enjoy your anniversary-hubby's a lucky guy!

You've welcome, Lisabelle! Sorry about not having seen this earlier. I'm not that good with keeping up with journals, but I'm trying.

Wow, your hubby really does look like Jean-Luc! I can easily see him saying, "Make it so, Number One."

Your kimono are very pretty! I'm jealous. I'm Japanese and don't even have a yukata. Have you seen this site:
Ichiroya? The kimono they have are gorgeous, and there's very detailed pictures of the designs and the places that might have small stains on them (many of the kimono are vintage). If I had the money, I'd get a furisode from Ichiroya.

Juri - No problem!  I have trouble following the posts myself. Roll Eyes  Yes!  I have seen Ichiroya Kimono's!  I tryed to win one on e-bay but I was outbid wth 1 second to go!!My husband was SOOO angry, me I just cried.  It was a pink kimono with cherry blossom motif, oh well...  My two Kimono are from Ryu Japan Antique in Osaka.  My Irotomesode and my Omeshi were, with shipping, $113 US,  $137CDN  for me. My obi set for one was $90 US (still waiting for that one to arrive!)  I found a website that will help me dress n the kimono properly and to tie the obi's in different styles.http://www.japaneselifestyle.com.au/fashion/tomesode_kimono.html  I noticed the obi are more expsensive then the Kimono!  But I'm also getting the underwear with that order as well so that's find.  Try e-bay, you never know you might get a great deal!   8)

I can't stand snipers on eBay. I'd cry too if someone outbid me with one second to go in the auction. Thanks for reminding me about finding kimono on eBay. I looked up furisode and was shocked at how inexpensive some of them were.

Good luck with the obi! I'm glad the site has good pictures. I would get lost without them.
