I don't know how long I can keep looking younger after yesterday's nightmare!!!!!
I did an MS research survey in NYC for $200 plus reinbursement of transportation.  Stress-A-Ride picked me up at my home and dropped me off at the place.  All is fine, did survey with a lovely woman, had lunch(on them!) and went downstairs to wait for my ride home.  I'm waiting and waiting,my leg is killing me,I call Stress-A-Ride to find out where the hell they are.......I'm waiting 45 minutes in the mean time and dispatch tells me they were there and I was a no show.  My temper is in full stride now!  These people love to lie and try to blame you for their short comings.  I told dispatch the driver is lying and I've been out here 45 minutes waiting for his sorry &*(&&(&.!!
No ride home, stranded in the city and disabled to boot!!!!!
I hobble to Grand Central Station, tons of people and organized chaos, find a suttle train, take that to Times Square and transfer to a train to take me close to home.  Thank God C's son picked me up at the train station to take me home instead of me taking a bus home.
This is the time I wish I practiced dark majic to curse these people that claim they're transporation for the disabled!!!!!  I got nothing but aggravation, major stress(MS's worst enemy) and total disgust for mass transit!!!!!  ok,major hissy fit and ranting are done.
I think today is a day for total relaxation and de-stressing!!!

I agree that that was a terrible thing to happen to you, curse them for such a lie!!!!!  Thank God you are a strong and determined woman!

Your hair has gotten SO long, it's absolutely beautiful.....and so are you by the way!  So nice to see your face  Smiley.  You are beautiful inside and out, some things are evident.

I can't believe that you are on your way to thigh length, that's amazing!  Best of luck!

Glad to hear you're feeling better, Curlgirl.

Guess you proved that even though you're disabled, you're perfectly capable of fending for yourself when others disappoint you. WTG   Smiley

Man,has it been busy!  I miss not writing here often(makes mental note to make a conscious effort to write often!)
Picked up my new glasses today, thanks to C!  A really nice pair of burgunday Versace's!  Talk about expensive!! $700 for this pair!! Shocked Angry  This is why Versace,Prada,Gucci etc. don't live in stick houses!!! Tongue
Still trying to pack alittle(maybe not!)and get rid of stuff.  It's harder than I thought.  Leaving a home I swore when I was a kid that I couldn't leave fast enough, now it's like dragging my feet through mud......I guess it is true about the older you get you get set in your ways, don't like change etc.  Well, onto bigger and better(I hope!)
Haven't done any S&D's for a while.  Gotta take advantage of the sunny days to do that in.  Have had to oil with camelia oil morning and night.  I still feel that my hair is dry though.  I think it's time either for an Ojon oil treatment or maybe I will mix something up of my own.
C is getting over a bout of flu and bronchitis.  It was hard not being with him for about a week.  He was so afraid of getting me sick and me either having an exaserbation from it(MS thing) or me being really sick.  I'm just battling hayfever and allergies Roll Eyes
It's late,more later!

Yup, yup, yup.  I'm 46 and a terrible creature of habit.  I have to constantly challenge myself to keep my brain active and thinking.  Sometimes it's as easy as taking a different route to work.  But I often have to fight the instinct to just sit on my arse and veg.

Ok,so here I go with trying to journal more often Roll Eyes  Today was busy.......C and I took my wheelchair out to go to the post office and wait in line 30 minutes so I could mail back a tank dress for an exchange.  Got it on e-bay,but it was missing a tie in the back. Sad Angry  The dress is long and perfect for the summer, too!  The seller is nice enough to work with me and exchange it.  She actually should, her fault for sending out that way in the first place!
Then it is off to the bank(that was first) to see about reversing some overdraft charges.  My fault that I miswrote a figure in my checkbook and it caused a problem. Embarrassed Angry  I'm mad at myself for that because I'm always careful and proove my checkbook to the penny.  Anywho, got the bank to dismiss one o/d fee.  It was an expensive mistake and lesson!  At $33 a pop it's no joke when they refused to waive the other 2 fees. Lips Sealed Shocked  So I'm out $66.........never again though.  I'll triple check each transaction if I have to.
C and I have been trying to ready his son to go into the US Army.  The kid is a nightmare and seriously needs severe disciple and a career!  You know the saying,"If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all"? Well,........... Lips Sealed
I swear this kid has aged C 20 years since he's been here 1 year!!!  C says he's got to leave or go into the Army.  I can't blame him,the kid is 20 going on 2!!!I can't talk about it....it upsets me to no end.  I was raised to show respect to my elders.  The things that come out of this kid's mouth....had I ever even uttered some of those things when I was his age,my face would have been on the other side of my head and my teeth would have been down my throat!
I digress, sorry!  So then we are off to buy some corn on the cobb and grapes.
Got back to his place and had fish tofu and steamed shumai for lunch.  Relaxed a bit and since it's medicine shot night, had to eat an early dinner.  I told C how to prepare the corn and he shucked it and cooked it.  MMMMMmmmm good!!  Alittle Earth Balance and kosher salt,it was on the money!
Coffee with soy milk and I was good to go!
Tomorrow is P/T and bills to write out! Roll Eyes
C's son is also supposed to be picked up to take his exam for the Army and take a physical on Friday.  He was supposed to be home at 7:05pm,he promised his sergeant......It is 10:03pm and as far as I know he is still not home......... Angry Sad
somebody has some serious explaining to do to his sergeant!

Ya know, I'm typically verrry anti-military, but in some cases, when kids are totally out of control and are willing to join up, I think it's a very wise option.

My paternal grandfather had earned himself an extensive criminal record by the time he was 17. And when he was caught, he was given the option of joining the military or going to prison. He joined the Navy and learned the trade from which he eventually retired. It was probably the best decision he could have made - it straightened him out on both a professional and personal level.

Not saying that the Army will make a man out of C's son, but it will probably help whip him into shape a bit. Hope all goes well.

Ugh...I've had that happen to me with nsf fee's.  They suck! Tongue

I hate it when kids mouth off to adults, it's so disrespectful.  I don't know what it is, but it seems to me that every new generation is worse than the ones prior. Perhaps they're spoiled. Huh   Hopefully, something as severe as the military will straighten him out.
