Threee might work. Or you could add a coat every day like the pros recommend. But who has time for that? Undecided

Of course dahling.  Wink

So catching up Thursday was wash day, with nothing to report there. Friday I wore my hair in a braid.  Tongue Dullsville.  Roll Eyes Got some more shampoo and conditioner in the stuff my hair likes.  Cool Saw some stuff I can't afford.  Roll Eyes Bought some moisturizer. Will be getting mousse, seeing as I now have chronic "pancake" head.  Tongue

Saturday I just tied my hair in a low ponytail and stuffed it under my denim newsboy hat, it was windy and rainy, and I wasn't going anywhere particularly nice.  Roll Eyes Came home and made a chocolate cheesecake which turned out to be a lousy recipe.  Tongue

Easter was basically Christmas again. Same outfit, same hairstyle. Except it was colder and way windy.  Shocked I was freezing, my clothes were thin and the wind was really cold. Though I did manage to smirk at the dumb teenage girls who wore spring dresses and no coats.  Roll Eyes Grin It's been freaking cold for far too long. At least we're expecting a warm up by Friday.  Cool Hey I want my allergies, I'm sick of my sinuses.  Tongue That and freezing my @$$ off.  Grin

Wash Day

So yesterday was my first wash day with my "new" (read: old, that my hair used to love but I foolishly got away from and have finally realized to come back to.  Roll Eyes) shampoos and conditioners. I'm using two, one for body and one moisturizing. My hair is already a lot better.  Cool I even whipped up a MM with the two conditioners so the fragrance would match, that and they other one didn't actually work.  Roll Eyes Speaking of fragrance, combining the two my hair smells like strawberry champagne.  Shocked Cool Cheesy It's incredible and delicious even if they weren't working I'd keep using them just for the fragrance.  Grin Roll Eyes

Also I'm quitting the biotin. I can't stand the overly thick poofy mass my hair has become since I started using it. I'm even beginning to believe conditioners have trouble penetrating it all.  Tongue Undecided So growth rates be damned, they were never consistent anyways.  Roll Eyes I'm wholeheartedly looking forward to controllable hair in a month or two.  Cool Smiley

Wash Day, Stupidity, and A First

So after my wash day on Monday, I being a complete moron.  Grin Roll Eyes Tried, again, to use the natural (insert V8 had bonk here) root boost I had lying around. *Dodges incoming bonks*  Cheesy Yes of course I knew I shouldn't have bothered, and of course it didn't work.  Roll Eyes Just made my hair greasy and gunky.  Tongue

Yesterday wash all the gunk out.  Cool Hair is looking better. Feels softer, still dry, due to low humidity and too much density I think.  Tongue However it smells wonderfully like strawberry champagne so really I'll deal with minor "issues."  Roll Eyes Today's style was a Dutch braid.

Bought some mousse today. Should work it was the same stuff I used to use awhile ago, before I became as exceedingly lazy as I am today.  Roll Eyes

It's freaking beautiful out there today it's about 70° and tomorrow is supposed to be in the low 70's.  Cool Then we cool down to the upper 50's and get some rain.  Cool Finally spring weather I can enjoy.  Wink

I got my first hair compliment today. ... ... I was honestly wondering how long it would have to grow before someone took notice of the fact that it's longer than most and is of a color that actually occurs in nature.  Grin Roll Eyes A lady behind us in the checkout asked me if I braided my own hair or did my mother do it. I told her I did. She couldn't believe that I could get it so neat on the back of my own head. And she said I had beautiful hair. ...

Congrats on your first hair compliment! Pretty sweet, isn't it? Cool
And how awesome that you cat Dutch braid your own hair! I'm still trying to work up the gall to attempt a French braid on myself...which should be an epic (though comedic) failure. Roll Eyes

Believe it or not the only line my hair likes is Vo5.  Roll Eyes Combining their Extra Body and the Moisture Milk Strawberries 'N Cream makes that wonderful fragrance.  Cheesy And my hair's improving already.  Cool Yes my hair is classless I know.  Roll Eyes

Grin Practice, and good instructions are key.  Wink That and knowing when to give a rest, before you want to rip your hair out.  Grin

Grin Sometimes quite true.  Wink

Righto then. Hair was simply in a braid on Sunday with my crystal butterfly barrette. Le sigh.  Roll Eyes

Yesterday was wash day. Hair continues to improve with each wash.  Cheesy

It was freaking cold, windy and rainy yesterday.  Shocked Cheesy So after freezing one's "assets" off it was hot chocolate and a blanket for me.  Grin Cool Today will be in the 60's tomorrow more showers then we hit the 80's over the weekend. We're having spastic weather with a time delay.  Grin Roll Eyes

Three coats of nail strengthener have done nothing.  Tongue Nails insist on peeling and breaking as the stuff insists on wearing off.  Tongue Oh well at least I know not to waste my time with it anymore.  Roll Eyes

I think we have deranged wildlife at our house. There's been this cardinal that's been attacking a window for the past week.  Huh Roll Eyes It sees it's reflection and thinks it's another bird. It goes away but always comes back for more.  Roll Eyes Reminds me of the squirrel we had a few years ago who did barrel rolls in the first snow then head butted a maple tree.  Huh I think there's something in the water out here. Grin

Grin Apparently deranged wildlife is very prevalent.  Roll Eyes

So I heard.  Tongue After today's supposed showers we'll be getting our taste of summer as it will stay in the mid 80's through at least early next week.  Tongue Luckily we won't make 90° this April. We did in 2002, 96° to be exact. The only difference between that here and in SoCal is yours is a dry heat, the humidity was like 85%.  Tongue And I had to be out in it for Freshman Bio class.  Tongue
Still it will be too warm too fast just the same. I mean it was 44° Monday and by Saturday it'll be 86°. We never get Spring anymore, we just go directly into Summer.  Tongue Angry

Spring? What's that? The only seasons SoCal knows are summer and that one other season that isn't summer and doesn't last very long. Roll Eyes

I had heard tale of it.  Grin

Thursday, wash day, hair continues to improve. Still needs MM though.

On Friday I wore my hair in a mid ponytail with the length half braided and a section wrapped around the hair ties. Went in search of a hair product that I still can't locate.  TongueI've got three more places yet to check so hopefully I'll be able to find it. Went shopping for shorts, came home with a tank top and lingerie.  Huh Yeah not sure how it happened myself.  Cheesy

Today's style was a braided bun held up by my lone pair of hair sticks. Today I found hair pins!  Shocked Cheesy Cool *does a happy dance* Finally I have hair pins! My hair is now currently being held up successfully by them in a cinnamon bun as we speak.  Cool

All my nails have been cut back seeing as half of them have wound up broken.  Tongue

The summer weather is here, yesterday it was 88° today looks as though it may hit 90° and tomorrow and Tuesday are supposed be hot as well. It hasn't been this hot here at this time in 7yrs.  Tongue Angry Looking forward to showers on Wednesday, hopefully sans thunderstorms and any potential dangers they may bring.  Tongue

One Quick Installment

Alright, wash day was yesterday. Nothing really to say on that front.

Alas and alack, we hit 90° yesterday.  Angry However we've been trying SoCalianesque heat as our humidity has yet to be above 35%. Although there is a chance of thunderstorms this evening.  Tongue Undecided

So since the air is exceedingly dry, my hair is exceedingly flyaway and poofy.  Tongue However a product purchase on Friday should render the situation.  Cool

...That bird is still banging the window... he's (like it could be otherwise  Grin Roll Eyes) been at it for about two weeks... Huh Tongue... the room where the computer is located is right above the window it attacks so if the window's open that's all I keep hearing.  Roll Eyes Sheesh!

So this week is Derby week. If you live in this country and have no idea what I'm talking about I suggest staying far away from me because I'm not only speechless but getting ready to throw something at your head.  Grin Cheesy Needless to say I shall be very busy, so this will be my last posting on here until Sunday. Wish me luck, I need to make some money!  Wink

I'm not sure there were any too be found.  Undecided Or don't worry I would've.  Wink

So Thursday was wash day. Nothing to mention there.
Friday was one of those day when you know you should've stayed in bed and tried again tomorrow.  Tongue It was an exceedingly annoying day.  Angry
Attempted to wear hair in a Chinese bun. Hair refused to cooperate.  Angry I got angry at it and at my sad pathetic little purse brush.  Angry Settled on a braid which wouldn't cooperate either.  Angry Couldn't find decent shorts anywhere.  Angry I refuse to be a hoochie.  Grin Found a pair of sneakers for the rain finally.  Smiley Felt considerably annoyed and grouchy about the stupidity of others in general.  Grin Roll Eyes Went on a hair rampage and bought a cream I was looking for, a deep treatment, a styling product, and a new no static brush, which works great btw.  Cheesy Bought heel liners for new sneakers as I got a blister, they won't stick.  Angry Spent the whole day feeling like .... I'm sure there's more I forgot.  Tongue

Yesterday was the aforementioned day. I hit nothing.  Tongue My mother however picked the derby winner.  Cool So yes still an infinitely better day then Friday.

Today it's raining and cool.  Cool Finally found a pair of decent shorts, and a pair of spring pumps for the aforementioned rain.  Cool The mousse doesn't look like it gets rid of my pancake head  Huh but it helps with the haven't been washed greaseies.  Cool The new styling product works pretty well, my hair twisted into a bun quite quickly and easily. However I am incapable of keeping it in a bun at my nape, no matter what kind of pins I have in.  Tongue Roll Eyes
