Five new first edition GlimmerStix hair jewelry designs have been posted!

The Special Edition Designs page has been updated, and two “last chance” special order designs have been posted in Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow.

If you’re trying to find PearliStix in the menu, they’ve moved to “Designs with Opulent Finishes,” and SterlingStix have moved to “Themed Designs.”  These changes don’t appear on all the pages yet, but they will once they have a chance to propagate throughout the boutique.

Today’s Tip: Not only is Amazon a great place to find and save money on just about every hair care product, hair care book and hairstyling DVD under the sun but do you know that Amazon sells text books for up to 90% off?  Now that the new school year is fast approaching, send your brilliant student to Amazon to save some dough on those pricey necessities!

For the uninitiated, ZenStix were a very popular style of LongLocks HairSticks that I had to retire when I couldn’t find any more of the special bamboo sticks I use to make them.  So why were they so popular?  Because they are perfect for so many reasons!  They are nice and thin, and the wrapped bamboo is slightly ribbed, which is great for fine, thin or hard-to-hold-hair. That being said however, they work great in ANY type of hair, even a very thick mane!  They are also a bit longer than my bone styles but shorter than RapunzelStix, so they are perfect for those who want something in between.  And because they are made of bamboo, happy are the folks that look at me funny when I am served a big, hunkin’ steak that has been shown a book of matches and brought to the table (even though no animals are harmed to procure our bone sticks, I certainly understand why some people prefer not to wear them anyway).  Check ‘em out!

Three rereleased special order hair jewelry designs from the LongLocks archive have been posted in the LongLocks Catalog in the LongLocks MystStix, FantasyStix and FoilStix styles!  These are all special edition designs, circa 2004-2007, and are the very last of these art glass beads I have in my collection.

We have added facebook’s new “Like” buttons at the top of the pages throughout the LongLocks HairSticks Boutique (we’re not quite done but almost all the pages that are going to get them have them already, except this blog because I haven’t had time to track down a plugin yet).  If you have a facebook account, clicking the Like button on your favorite pages will share this information with your facebook friends.  Even more importantly, it will help to tell us which LongLocks articles, styles (Stix Nouveau, GeishaStix, IllusioniStix, etc.) and individual hair jewelry designs you like best!  We’ll be keeping an eye on these numbers to help determine which direction to go in the future, so be sure to click “Like” on all your favorite pages in the boutique to have your opinion heard.  If you don’t already have a facebook account, you can get one for free by clicking any facebook link in the boutique or by going directly to facebook.
