She’s a Super Freak, Super Freak, She’s Super Freaky, Yayuh

I didn’t start turning gray until I was 45 years old or so, and four years later I just now have enough gray accumulated (mebbe 20-30 hairs) in the one spot I have gray, to suggest the possibility of a streak.   I am perfectly fine with turning gray, in fact, I actually looked forward to it with great anticipation for years before my first gray hair sprouted, and the siting of the first one was cause for much celebration in my household.  If I get a streak, well… that’s just bonus.  I think long gray hair, especially toward the white end of gray, is stunning.

However, I just plucked my first gray eyebrow.  This is NOT cool.  And then to top it off, I just plucked three freakishly long (not gray) EYELASHES from the same eye.  I’ve always had long, naturally curly eyelashes (thanks Mom, Miss Longest Eyelashes, class of 1937) but these were, without exaggerating, a good deal over a half inch long!  How does THAT happen?  Who the hell plucks eyelashes???  Apparently I do.

No, not cool.  Not cool at all.
