Natural Shampoo for Normal Hair
|
Ingredients
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup liquid castile soap
1/2 teaspoon organic sunflower oil or other light organic vegetable oil
Directions
Mix together all the ingredients. Store in a bottle. Use as you would any shampoo, rinse well.

Dry Shampoo for Oily Hair
|
Ingredients
Cornstarch
Directions
Dip large soft makeup brush in cornstarch and dust through oily spots in hair. Allow to sit for five minutes then brush out with a natural boar bristle brush. Repeat as necessary.

Rosemary Rinse for Oily Hair
|
Ingredients
1/4 cup dried rosemary
Directions
Simmer rosemary in 1 1/2 cups of water. Strain mixture and discard rosemary. Use remaining mixture as the final rinse after shampooing. |

Sunshine Shampoo for Blonde Hair
|
Ingredients
1/4 cup liquid castile soap
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon lemon zest
Directions
Mix together all the ingredients and heat in the microwave on high for 1 to 2 minutes until it is hot but not boiling. Cool the mixture completely and strain to remove the lemon zest. Store in a bottle. Shampoo as you normally would. Rinse well with cool water.

Frizz Control for Curly Hair

Ingredients
1 small aloe vera leaf
Directions
Snip off end of leaf and apply a dollop of aloe vera gel to palm. Work through hair to ends.

Natural Hair Gel
|
Ingredients
1/2 to 1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
Thoroughly dissolve gelatin in 1 cup warm water. Keep refrigerated in sealed container.

Natural Hairspray
|
Ingredients
1/2 orange
1/2 lemon
Directions
Chop fruit into small pieces and place in a pot with 2 cups water. Boil until reduced by half. Cool, strain, and place in a spray bottle. Store in the refrigerator or add one once rubbing alcohol to store at room temperature for up to two weeks. Add more water to reduce stickiness, if desired. |
