Today I wore two pair of LL stix at the same time with my bun.  It was really cool.  I really need to get a bun net!
Yesterday I wore the Autumn Oak Swingstix.  On Saturday for my recital I wore the Frozen Sun Myststix.

Today I wore the Blue Sky Glimmer in a brand new way:
Take hair from above the ears up to small pony about 1 inch infront of crown.  Secure with band and weave two hairstix through hair and band parallel to the floor.  Both stix on same side.  Not only did it look interesting and the crystals showed nicely, but I could teach and invert (halasana) without disturbing the stix.  This look also gives a lot of height on top, something I can no longer get by placing a half pony and pinning.
Think I'll be wearing this more often.  Next try french braid front with same amount of hair.  Ooh la la...

Well, I went with a full shampoo and regular condition.  Used my Lucky Tiger gel and scrunched it.  It's still drying, but I think I'm pleased with the result so far.  Tried tying the top in knots-looks very cool in front.  My scalp is flaking-seems to be just dead skin shedding
Meant to mention earlier that yesterday I had my hair in a ponytail all day and had virtually no knots or tangles when I took it down and combed it.  Maybe it's getting long enough that I should keep it up more-beyond just taking up the front.

Well, it seems like the oil didn't get all the way out of my ends-they're not cruchy but after two days they look more wet than dirty/oily.  I'm holding out to wash on Tuesday (day 5), see if I make it!!
Last night for the first time I got all of my hair up in a pony on top of my head.  It must be growing!!
Sometimes this process just gets to me.  Luckily this board exists-I go and look at the pictures posted and it helps me calm down, and dream about what it will be like to have long hair.

Yesterday I wore my hair in a bun with Opal Petals Bridalstix and got quite a few compliments (on the stix).  I was surprised because my bun wasn't the neatest-I didn't use hairspray.  Isn't that just the way things go!

Washed my hair this morning and had to leave it down to dry, my waves are looking great and more curly.  I did use itty bitty rhinestone clips to keep my bangs out of my face for work- got a couple of compliments on my wavy hair.  I'm so glad my hair is recovering from having some of the salon color removed.  I was worried for a while there that I'd have straw hair for the rest of my days.  Yuck!!
Planning a deep conditioning for this Friday, and the facial I never got around to...

French braids are just the perfect hairdo!  My head was a tangled mess before I started to French braid it for night. Have you ever considered posting pictures of your hairstick collection?

Tried a new moisturizing technique yesterday-mix oil and conditioner and leave it in overnight.  It really coated my hair and when I was washing it out my hair felt very silky.  It says to rinse with lemon juice, vinegar and conditioner which I did.  After towel drying and scrunching the top of my hair was soooooooo flat.  With the treatment in, the top was very wavy.
So, we'll see how it dries.  I'm hoping my ends will be really nourished and soft.

I love sleeping with my hair french braided!  What a difference it makes!  I sooooo wanted to stay in bed today (my Valentine's gift of a red silk sheet set was like sleeping in a rose) and was very uninspired to fix my hair for work.  After making a regular run-of-the-mill (where does that saying come from, I wonder?) ponytail I switched it to a partially french braided bun.  I did use hairspray on it and it is holding wonderfully.  I'm even keeping it for my hot date tonight. 
This afternoon I wore my Meadow Sage Sterlingstix-they are so gorgeous. 
Tonight I'll wear my Pink Valentine Shadowstix with a red off the shoulder silk sweater.  I love to dress up.
I haven't had my hair trimmed for about 6 weeks, and have an appointment in about 2 weeks and find a slight feeling of dread.  I want to trim up these layers, but I don't want to loose any length.  I know I've got enough length to give up to 1" and still be able to do my bun but I'm feeling nervous about it already.  This is a first for me.  Must be the influence of all the long locked lovelies from these boards.  Hmmm.

My hair has lots of volume and wave.
Had my first encounter of someone touching my hair without permission.  It was a student of mine that I haven't seen in more than 6 months, she just walked up and said, "I love the color of your hair.  It looks so thick" and before I knew it, as I was saying "Thanks" she grabbed a handful.  It was really wierd.  I didn't say anything 'cause she didn't hurt me but it was a strange experience.
I had my first hair nightmare last night-dreamt that I was combing out my hair and big chunks of it came out in the back, creating bald spots.  Then the sides of my hair broke off above the ear and the worst was that I had bangs above my eyebrows.  I'm aware that I'm dreaming when I dream, and I could hear my own breathing getting very upset.  Yikes!!!  Maybe I'm more concerned about getting that trim next month than I realized!  Sure hope I don't have many more dreams like that, it was disturbing
On a nicer note, today I made a half pony and took some of the hair underneath it, made a little braid and wraped the braid around the clear elastic I used to hold the pony.  It really makes the transition from elastic to hair more natural looking.  Then I inserted my Chinoiserie Original Sticks and voila! I felt much better after having that terrible dream

I haven't washed my hair since last Tuesday, and it still seems rather fluffy.  There might be a bit of smell, but I can't believe it-I've never in my life gone this long without washing and my hair still looks good.
I put my hair up into two high mini-buns and stuck the Sparkling Rainbow shadowsitx straight up through each bun.  My dad said I looked like "My Favorite Martian".  Oh yeah, feel the love.
It looked cute with the little ends popping out.
I missed out on getting to look up close at the new offerings of Holostix.  I wish there was an easy to see the sticks even if they've been sold.
Will I wash tomorrow?  I'll probably have more students than normal with it being a holiday.

It seems to me that using equal parts lemon juice, vinegar and clarifying conditioner really did the job of getting all of the olive oil and hairmask out of my hair
Unlike the last time (when I used almond oil and silk elements conditioner) my hair doesn't look dull or weighed down after the intense treatment.  It actually looks fantastic today.
One thing I discovered is that for my hair I must divide my gel application, using 1/2 tablespoon for sides and underneath and then another 1/2 for the top and front.  This gives me a nice, even coating of the gel with out some parts getting most of it and the the top layer in back missing out.  I'm really pleased with the result!!

Greek_Lady: Yes, 'twas I that snatched up the lilac one.  I wish I could see every design that Susan makes, even if it's not a design that calls to me I still want to see it up close.

I really wound up doing the CO just because I was too lazy to get out of the shower and grab the shampoo.  I was really reluctant, too and probably wouldn't have tried it otherwise.  If you try it, just think that if you don't like the result you can wash your hair again with shampoo. 

Nice surprise on Tuesday-I went in to my usual salon to have a pedicure and my stylist (who happens to own the salon) was there.  I had washed my hair that morning, so it was down drying in very beautiful waves.  She complimented my on how my waves were developing and said how much she liked how my hair looked.  I think I feel better about my upcoming trim!  She has always respected my wishes in the past, so I'm over my paranoia and am actually looking forward to my next visit as it will help me get those annoying layers down to one length

Did a deep conditioning today, my wet hair feels super silky although my waves are a bit limp.  Will see how it is when dry...

Last night I came up with a really cool new hairdo.
Take the hair from ear to ear across the back of the head and make a pony, use a ponytail holder.  Twist into a bun and pin in place.  Add a pair of hairsticks.
Then, take the hair that is hanging down and twist it, as in making a french twist.  Do not twist too tightly.  Take the twisted hair and wrap it around one side of the bun (my hair's about 20 inches, so it only went 1/2 way around the bun) and secure it at the top with a pin, another pin at the side to attach it to the bun and then one more pin near the base.  Use your fingers to "comb" the the hairs smooth to make it look neater.  It was very pretty, of course I wore it with my Bridal Lily bridalsticks.  I felt like a princess and was walking tall

Ugh.  It's raining and I have that wedding to go to today.  I don't wanna go.  Just want to stay on the couch wrapped up in my blanket with the cat purring beside me.  It'd be a good day to watch the LOTR trillogy .  I still don't know what I'll wear.

Yesterday I made a funky 1/2 up do:
Make a 1/2 pony and take some off the top and sides and pin it so it sticks up and fans out.  Take the remaining pony and twist it into a bun, pin in place.  Insert hairsticks (I wore Violet Noir Shadowstix) and fluff the hair that's hanging down.  Viola!  A funky, fun do.  I didn't want to comb out my waves, so this was my solution.  My hair was too fluffy to confine all of it into a bun.  I'll probably wear a bun today (which means I'll comb it out) IF I go to this wedding.  I plan on washing my hair at the gym tomorrow after my class and oiling it then sitting in the steam room to let the oil penetrate.  Wonder how that will turn out. (Hmmmmm)

I really enjoyed my steam-I may make it a Sunday ritual.  I wasn't thinking too clearly and CO'd my hair before oiling and steaming.  I think I meant to oil it dry and then CO.  At any rate it worked fine and with my new hairgel from Bellagio my waves look great.  More and more of those spiral curls are popping up.  I'm not sure if it's a result of the growing length or if it is the moisturizing treatment. 
I've decided that I'll only have 1/2 inch cut off-even if it takes forever to get the layers trimmed up I just can't part with too much.  My buns look so beautiful now at this length I'm excited about how they'll look even better with more length! I think I can get away with trimming so little because I don't have split ends.  Yea

I just got back from the salon.  She didn't trim my hair-we ran out of time.  It took 2 1/2 hours to do another weave and then put color over it.  I have a lot of hair   So, now I'm a sandy, goldish brownish blonde.  I think the dark color makes my hair look shorter.  I have to go back in two weeks for my trim, so I should be a bit lighter by then.

I'm exhausted-Sweetie is still crying most of the night.  I'm gonna go take a nap.

AAAHHHHHH!  I just went a little bit crazy, three of the glitterstix were calling to me and I wasn't fully awake from my marathon nap and I did go for it.  IF I get them all, well, let's say I'm gonna have to hide 'em.  One pair I'm hoping to wear at the recital.  Speaking of that, I tried a style today that I think I'm happy with to wear as Lucy.  Since respectable women wore their hair all up or maybe with a strand or two down, and Lucy's not in that category I took half of my hair and twisted it in to a half a figure 8, leaving the rest to hang down wavy/curly.  I made the top poof and you can see a littly knob on top.  Then, to morf into Luisa I just take the hair that's down and twist it up to meet the other twist.  Since Luisa's supposed to be a young girl and from a respectable family I can leave down a tendril here and  there-we'll see.  I've got to cut up a sheet and try those rag curls and then try these styles out.
I have two and a half weeks left before the recital.  Oh yeah, I guess I better practice my songs!

Happy morning!!  I oiled last night (with hubby's help) and slept with it in a braid and washed and my waves are sooo thick.  Really nice, defined S waves and they're about an inch thick.  New development.  Still getting some of those spiral curls popping up as well.  I hope my ends are more protected.  I may begin to put oil on just my ends, although with my hair being wavy and therefore more porous getting the right amount could prove to be a challenge.  I really hate it when my hair soaks up my body lotion-I've had to go to wearing a robe after showering and lotioning up to keep the hair away from my skin as it dries.
This week I'm commiting myself:  cut up a sheet and try those rag curls.  I'm concerned that with my thick hair and unusual work schedule I won't get them dry enough when I'll have to remove the rags.  I think I'll have to towel dry my hair well before wrapping it.  If it gets a bit dry during the process I can always spritz with rose or lavender water.  I've got grand visions of ringlets...how fun!

I'm a little under the weather this week, been staring at the screen for a few minutes like a zombie.  Hope to get some rest this afternoon.  Hope my hair is dry before then!!!

Not too much to report.  After my last cut and color I washed my hair today and it wasn't as wavy as it has been recently.  I figure my hair needs to rest and it'll be its self again soon.
This time, my hair is quite soft so that makes me happy.  I did get a new product from the salon by Redkin, from their So Long line (purple bottles).  It is designed to prevent split ends.  The 2nd and 3rd ingredients are -cones.  I think my hair likes cones is general, so I'm giving it a try...
Now that my hair is one length it feels very swingy.  Before it was POOFY.  Surprisingly enough it is more tame at one length.  I hope to see more of my curl develop now, I did see a few spirals today after towel-drying.
Also looking forward to my next attempt at rag curls with my new all one length hair.  Gotta get more rags cut...

I really did dream of food last night, even going grocery shopping!
I washed my treatment out with lemon juice, vinegar and lots of water.  Hubby helped-he really had fun pouring water over my head with a pitcher.
Even wet my hair felt very silky.  After putting back a bit of conditioner my waves are very seperated.  I used the So Long end protector stuff and my usual gel. I have hundreds of little waves.  Will see how it looks after it dries and I shake it out.
I still have some damage to my ends.  I'll probably keep it shorter than planned to get the damage off.
I am so glad I had the layers cut off.  The bun I made yesterday, even with my hair wet and slimey, stayed all day and night.  No pokey outie bits.   
Next trim is in May...

be careful, most hair sunscreens contain a huge amount of alcohol. i wonder if it wouldn't be better to add a bit of a high sunscreen to jojoba and put that instead.

My last post was actually last night-3 hour time difference.
Today I took my bun down, felt how my hair was still damp and then put it back up in a bun.  It's defo working now!
I had a good class, spent the first 20 mins chatting and it was nice.
My myopractic adjustment was amazing.  No more lordosis-yea yoga!  Boy was she surprised  I think my adjustment went so well because of the detox and no longer drinking soda.

I'm so glad I entered therapy.  With this most recent breakthrough I finally feel I'm getting back to being my self, my WHOLE self, that is.

I'm doing a 14 day "detox in a box" (that's what I call it), by Enzymatic Therapy called Whole Body Cleansing.  It was about $23 from the health food store.  There are 3 bottles of supplements and a booklet for directions.
I am doing this detox because I was recently diagnosed with food sensitivities to wheat, dairy and corn.  I also just gave up drinking Coke and wanted to facilitate the release of that junk-I didn't even get withdrawl headaches.
I've been having some allergy problems and my skin's gotten dryer than usual and itchy (I'm thinking about those Chagrin bars...) AND its Spring so it is naturally a good time of year to do a cleanse.
And you're right, yoga is great for the mind.  Thanks 

I'm very intrigued by Galadriel's review of the Chagrin bars-my skin is very sensitive and delicate and I dry to uncomfortable tightness and flaking if I don't mosturize with the Body Shop's Cocoa Butter Body Butter with my skin still damp!  My diet clearly effects my skin, like too much caffiene will make it worse.  I've been using a gentle shower gel, but I'm going to investigate these bars.

Today I am very proud of myself.  I had a La Stone Therapy massage scheduled at 11:00 so I got up early, warmed some olive oil with 3 drops each Lavender, Rosemary and Sandalwood then applied that to my dry hair.  Stuck it in a shower cap and did a bellydance workout for 30 mins.  After exercising I put some vinegar in a pitcher for rinsing my hair after cleansing, 1:4 ratio. I had been using about 1/2 that.
I did not put gel in my hair today and my hair is sooooooo soft and fluffy, just like kitty fur.



And now I'm going to have a chicken mango salad with some iced green tea.  Then I'm going to watch the Mummy, which I didn't watch yesterday.  I slept.  You need a lot of rest on a detox.

Update on detox:  It's going great.  My massage therapist noticed that my skin and muscles seemed different.  I've been going to her monthly for several years.  Eating right and giving up soda has given me positive change inside and out!

Serious bun joy!  I'm now down to 5 pins, plus a pony holder and it stays in through teaching and napping!!!
Been investigating 1920's stuff-found some cool capezio shoes that are purrrfect for this era, and I can wear with other characters.  More joy.  At only $29!
I'm going to try pinning my hair under to emulate a 1920's do, will keep eKatherine's suggestion of a bobbed wig in mind.  If I purchase the costume I was looking at it includes a cloche hat, which I think I can use to fake it.  However, I have a ton of hair, so it'll be a challenge either way.
A bit uncertain with how I'm going to transition from one character to the next.  If I have to pin it or wig it, I think the snood will be a must.  Red lipstick from last rehearsal will be perfect.  Yay.
Heard from Lady MacSnood today, should receive snoods in time to play.  She's making them just for me.  I feel very special.  

Oh, yeah.  Detox update: completed 1st week  .  So far so good.  I'm not craving fried foods as much as before, still soda free.  Also noticed sugary foods not so appealing.  Dark chocolate always the exception!

Whew!  I made it through the day.  I had a review and got a nice raise-can't believe I've been teaching at this place for 3 years.
I've got to plan better for my Tuesday schedule-I have so little time inbetween classes that even with snacks I'm way too hungry for real food by the time I'm done.  I make poor decisions when I'm hungry like that.  Gotta have a backup plan or I'll wind up eating fast food again.  It's very challenging to get quick meals that are wheat, dairy and corn free.  Not counting salads of course, but I need hot food.
I hope to have a brainstorm on this issue.

Today I made two low pigtails and turned them into little buns.  They are cute-some of the ends poke out a bit but it looks like I did it on purpose.
Doing better today.  I'm greatful for EMDR.  I feel like I've a new lease on life-a fresh start.  How lovely it is to really love myself.
Struggling a bit with new song-can't tell if it sounds good or not.
Got my t-bar shoes, nice fit.  I think I'll get a good amount of use out of 'em.
Frusterated with ends of hair-upon close inspection of front of hair ends are broken and split sometimes as much as 1 1/2 inches up the shaft!  I feel like I'll never be split end free again.
It tries my patience.  Perhaps a deep hot olive oil treatment will make me feel better.
I think my natural haircolor is getting brighter with these supplements I've been taking.  Have another month before next salon trim.

I decided to leave that oil in overnight.  I put it up in a pony and the sides of my hair look almost like there are bald spots.  I don't know if this is because my hair is darker and my roots are coming in very light or because of the harsh treatment of color removal.
I'm a bit concerned.
Could it be related to ageing?
Got email notification that my Chagrin Valley soaps are coming.
Today I'm going to mix honey with my vinegar rinse and some sandalwood oil.  I think I'll dry my hair natural-haven't seen my waves for a while.

Thanks, Styg.  I was drinking regular Coke-I got addicted to the corn syrup.  I've given it up for short periods before, but I think this time is for good.  Giving it up at the same time as doing my detoxing has made it easier 1) to give it up and 2) to reevaluate what I want to put into my body and to focus on those foods instead.  I don't even miss it.
I think I'd like to release 20 lbs, although when I was 20 lbs lighter most people thought I was too skinny.
I've noticed from a few of your photos, Styg that you are quite slim.  I know you don't live in the US, but do you get unkind remarks?  I used to and I think it has kept me from making myself happy 'cause I didn't want others to be mean to me.
I'm in the process of reclaiming my power so it won't matter what other people say, but I fell into that trap and stayed in it for quite a long time.
I have noticed that I don't snack as often as before when I was still drinking soda, and if I do snack its almonds or prunes.  Yum!

I rinsed my hair today with 1 cup of beer, 1-1/2 cups vinegar, 3 generous tablespoons honey dissolved in a cup of boiled water and the juice of 1 whole lemon + enough water to fill the pitcher I was using.  I rinsed my hair well with water after and my curls were really abundant!  Unfortunately I decided to comb it out and put a bit of gel in and wound up with very little wave.  So!  Next time with same rinse NO COMBING IT OUT!

I was underweight until I got accepted to travel with Up With People in 1989.  I decided to weight train because we had a 22 metric ton set we had to set up & tear down for each show.  I started out at 107lbs and was at 118 when I left.  Unfortunately, 6 months into the tour I seriously injured my spine.
No longer able to excercise I slowly gained weight but in 1999 I had Bell's Palsy and the Prednisone (steroid) they gave me caused me to gain a whole clothing size OVERNIGHT!  I haven't been able to get back down with my weight.  In highschool I was badly teased for being skinny-someone told one of my teachers that I was anorexic and she called my parents!  Of course I wasn't but still that was troubling.
Now, I'm not obese by any means and most people would say I look just fine but I don't feel fine in my own skin.  I guess I need to get my skin thicker before I get thinner?
When I was so slender I used to wish I had bigger breasts.  Now I have a C cup and just wish I was slimmer and could keep the breasts.  I hope I can keep the changes to by diet from the recent detox and to have the courage to start exercising regularly.  It may seem like an oxymoron, since I am a yoga teacher and my job is so physical but I work at the gym and I don't want to spend any more time where I work than I have to.  Time to get creative I suppose.

On a lighter note, my order from Ida @ Chagrin Valley soaps arrived today.  All these samples, I'm not sure what I'll try first!

Soooo pretty!  I love the holo finish!!!

I've been putting about 5 drops of jojoba on the ends of my hair and working it through with my brand new boar's hair brush and I like it!  Makes my hair shiny.  When I first brush it my hair flies out with static but then I smooth it with my hand and that's the end of that.
So far, sandalwood eo is my favorite to scrunch in my hair or to add to my vinegar rinse water.

Tomorrow I'm trying my soaps and shampoo bars.

that's normal (unlessyour hair is really well coated by grease), but you just have to calm it down with your hands.

It is a strange thing with the bbb and jojoba, but the end result is quite nice (after calming the hair down w/ my hand).

I think I'm soda free 3 weeks now.  I miss it a little, but only because I've been really emotional lately.  I hope you're also drinking water, we are a "wet works" system internally so like a car with low oil things will start to break down if not properly lubricated.  I can't drink diet soda-aspertame gives me a headache and I'd rather have pure sugar than chemicals.  I defo crave sweets less now, and I'm more mentally alert.  Which comes in handy with my job, like when I have to tell the difference between right and left!
I was also anemic in highschool, I sure was tired a lot.
It's been so long that I could excercise properly that inerta has set in.  That first step is the hardest!

This morning I tried the Goatmilk Oatmeal Honey soap and the Honey, beer & egg shampoo bar.  I think with my wavy hair I'll need to use some conditioner.  I washed with the shampoo bar and rinsed with vinegar, water and lavender oil.  My hair feels a bit coated so volume is nice (tho not a usual problem for me) and it's very soft.  I didn't put any styling products in my hair.  Scalp is a bit itchy, but I imagine that's just from trying something new.

Ah, yes, I did another decent dutch braid for sleeping last night-the front was even better this time!
Before braiding, I oiled my ends with jojoba and sandalwood.  I love drifting off to sleep to the smell of eo's.  I brushed the oil in with my bbb and was surprised that my ends didn't seem oily.  My hair is very shiny still this morning-I just brushed and bunned and my hair color looks like golden honey.  It didn't look like that before bbb and I think I've gotten the hang of how much jojoba my hair can take w/o looking oily.

I think I had a hair growth spurt overnight because my bun today looks fantastic.
I've decided that when I have my next trim on May 17th that I won't have her cut too much.  Originally I thought I'd maintain at about 19 inches until the ends are in better shape, but I think I want it longer before I do that.  Having that color stripped has, in my opinion trashed my ends, so they'll still be trashed unitl the hair that received that harsh treatment has been cut off.  I think my hair was about 18 inches long when the damage occured, so it's going to be a while if I can be so patient.
So, why not go a bit longer?  So far my s&d missions are keeping the damage to a minimum and I think that since I'm oiling the ends regularly now I'll have a good result.
I'm so happy my hair looks shiney with the oil and not like a greaseball.  Yuck.

Today is the first morning when I've slept in a french braid that the sides did NOT slip out!  I really must have had a growth spurt.  Yiipeee!  I think I'll leave my braid in all day-through tomorrow when hubby & I go hiking.

Can I just say how much I like actor commentaries on DVD's?  I so enjoy hearing about their experiences.  8)

I'm for sure going to try COing next wash.  I hate having a flakey scalp.  Now, pie crust is another matter but I've had such dry skin all my life it's embarrasing to have those flakes in my hair.  I also wear a LOT of black so flakes are sooo noticable.   

My costume is on its way-  I hope it gets here by tomorrow but probably Monday.  I'm looking forward to putting it on and practicing the song with it.

Still waiting for snoods- she said it takes 3 weeks to make so I've still got a bit of a wait.

Had 3 white eyebrow hairs last night.  I am secretly hoping it means that my hair will be white in my cronedom but my hairdresser said it is no guarantee.

So interresting, these ups and downs today I'm up and noticing habbits (which is good so I can change them) but the recent downs have been very intense.  However, it is my opinion that if I could not feel the depths of downess I'd never feel the heighs of love, joy or bliss.  Or passion.  Balance is mandatory in the universe.  Boy, are we going to get it (ecologically speaking).
Where did this come from?  I'm going to go finish watching my cast commentary on The Two Towers now.

Guess what?  Today I got an email notice that Lady MacSnood has sent me a package.  I won't have to wait so long afterall!!

I'm feeling a bit giddy after posting my first picture!  Can hardly wait to do more!!!

Today at Dim Sum I ate taro root (one of my absolute favs), har kaw (shrimp dumpling), BBQ pork bun (a little dry today ),
custard bun (dessert) and almond jello.  Not really jello, the Chinese version I guess.  YUM!  The last time I had dim sum was in January for my birthday.  That was also the last time I got to dine w/my friend Elaine.  I sure do miss her.

We decided to hold our hike-very windy today.  I think we'll go walking in the dark.  Its nice and cool now, it got up to 89 degrees today.

I made some of that scalp stimulator (posted in 13 bodies' journal) and applied it last night.  I was out of lemongrass so I left it out, and only 1 teaspoon of Basil oil was on hand so the recipe is not verbatum BUT it was a bit tingly and smells great.  I decided to leave it in since my scalp has been so flakey.  I put oilive oil all over my hair (after leaving stimulator on for 30 mins or so by itself), put it up and slept in it.  My scalp is not showing flakes today, I washed the oil out CO style.  Hair still smells great and is quite soft, even with gel.

I also tried the dead sea spa soap from Ida.  My skin is very smooth and normal looking (if you've got really dry skin you know what I mean).  It really soaked up my body shop body butter-cocoa butter after the shower.  YUM.  Hubby loves that smell.  How did I survive without this stuff?

I found a picture of Clara Bow, I think I'll do my makeup patterned after her for my performance as Millie.  Sure hope I can figure out a good transition from 1920 to 1950 for Cole Porter's "It's All Right With Me".  I could hardly sleep last night imagining myself in costume, makeup and cool shoes singing and dancing.  Just under 1 month to go...

Yes, G_L cubies are yummy and I'll be on the look out for 'em!

While I was out having my voice lesson the mailcarrier came with my snoods and I wasn't here to sign for them.  So, I have to go to the post office tomorrow.  The same PO that I had to go to today to pick up my costume 'cause while we were out having Dim Sum on Saturday they tried to deliver and again I wasn't here to sign.  Argh!

I'm so anxious to try them on with my dress.

I'm still working on the digital camera thing, so I thought I'd practice by putting in a photo of my hairdo from yesterday.  I forgot to put my hairsticks back in when I took the photo so, oh well.  (They were the Lilac Chintz Glimmerstix, FYI)

This held so well I slept in it and it was still intact when I woke up this morning!

If it doesn't show too well, I french braided the top until I got to my ears where I finished off the regular braid and secured it with a band.  Then I took the remaining hair with the braid and twisted them together into the bun and pinned it.  Too bad I forgot the hairsticks, huh?  

Now, today's do didn't have sticks in it.  I was dreaming about this do when I woke up.  I think it's cute.



You can't really see the front, but I took a long tail comb and did a zig zag part before seperating the hair down the back.

I have no idea why the first pic is good sized and the second is giant.  I didn't do any resizing just to see what would happen.  Any ideas?

I know I just posted a few minutes ago, but I really must put this down.
Three months ago yesterday my beloved fur baby Magus died.  We just planted a lime tree in the backyard in his honor, with the one whisker we had left from him.  He had to be cremated because there was an autopsy-it's state law.

This is his sister, Sweetie.

His eyes were a beautiful yellowy green, and he was so loving and interactive.  I thought limes would remind me of his amazing eyes and the fruiting tree honors all the love and joy he gave to me.  He'll be remembered everytime we enjoy a lime off of "his" tree.

BB, I tried to change the pics but I got an error message saying I couldn't do it.  I must of done something wrong, but at least I tried.  I happen to be one of those dialup people!

G_L, the key is practice.  I'll bet if you can type on a keyboard you can do more than bun.  Don't get me wrong- I love buns!  (Insert your own joke here)

Well, it's not like me to miss a journal entry but I was exhausted after teaching on Tuesday.
Yesterday I took my first ever ballet lesson.  It was awesome.  I'm greatful my legs aren't too sore this morning!  I wore my hair in a bun with LL sticks, how cute I was in my leotard.  (Ahem)
Today I'm teaching at 6:30 again and I'd really rather stay home.  I have my regular class at 8:30, but then I'm done for the week.  My weekend starts at 9:30am Thursday morning.
I feel better now just having read that.
Gotta go get ready for work.
It's going to be a great day!

Well...didn't go to ballet yesterday after massage, just came home and rested.  Did go to restaurant to meet hubby's coworkers-really fun.  Forgot to get pic of hair.  It was still quite damp from washing and I put it up in a bun-kinda loose and a little off center.  Very casual and a little bit funky.  Wore Glass Gardens Duetstix.  I've been waiting to wear them and last night was the night.
Luckily I put gel in my hair, on instinct, 'cause we were outside on the patio.  It was rather windy last night!  My hair stayed put, perfectly.  This was one of the few times I didn't put a pony in first before twisting and wrapping the bun.  It may be the main reason my bun was off center?  Hmm.  It stayed until I took it down-took 5 or 6 bobby pins.  My hair isn't long enough to hold a decent looking bun with hairstix only.  Still waiting on that...
After meeting his friends we went  to a restaurant that has live jazz on Friday nights.  We really made an evening of it.  Really fun.

Today we have a wedding to attend.  I forgot about it.  Not feeling too prepared clothing wise, and its at 2:00pm.  Hopefully hubby will not forget to take pic of hair today!!

Gotta go figure out what I'm wearing and which hairsticks-  I'm initially thinking 1/2 pony bun w/ rest of hair twisted into french twist w/comb and then adding hairstix.  Geisha?  Combo?  Decisions, decisions!!
